Can't see if trade-in deals are within posting guidelines, but here goes anyway.

Possibly targetted.

Upgrading my Pixel 7 to a Pixel 8 thanks to this deal. Trade in value of pixel 7 originally $210, and the extra $35 from this bringing it up to $245.

Ive traded 4 devices in to them, 10/10 would recommend.

      • Second this

        • Make that three ⁉️😅

Same. Highly recommend them. They even price matched what other stores are buying.

Recently tried to sell via these guys they offered me 400 bucks for my iPhone 15 that's in good condition light scratches but nothing serious. Apparently has a small chip on the screen which didn't exist previous to sending. They haven't delivered my phone back to me yet.

    • Did you try Mobile Guru ❓

      • Trying them next.

Last time I used them, I applied a $35 promo code. Although the code was accepted, the final price didn’t change. I contacted them twice, and both times they said the code had been applied and the money would be added later. I told them I had already received the payment, but they still gave me the same response and never sent the bonus. Also, if you plan to use them, avoid receiving payments via PayPal, they charge a fee.

I tried to buy an iPhone SE 2nd gen 64GB - it's under $150 on eBay. But your price is $279, and even after the $50 discount, it's still not a deal.

      • There's 20% off refurbished phone on eBay. eBay Plus is 22% off. Green gadgets always has good pricing onr refurbished phones

Wow, recently traded in a couple of phones - wish I had seen and used this code. Theyre pretty decent and have offered the price they listed on the website. Have a couple of payments pending so will know shortly if theyre good!

Earlier this year, I tried to trade in my phone.
They claimed it had scratches and tried to lower the trade-in price. I didn't believe it since my phone had a screen protector on it the entire time.

I asked for photos, and they sent pictures that seemed to show scratches so I requested the phone back, and when it arrived it was scratch-free.

    YMMV

    • Same thing has happened to me I am a bit worried that it got damaged in shipping but having read your comment I think they were just having me on.

  • Yeah I sent in an iPhone recently, didn’t have a big crack on the screen until they emailed me about it. I asked for photos and there was one.

If you’re going to send it add padding cause all they give you is a thin plastic satchel to send the device. I’d covered it with paper but still got damaged.

I’d probably not use their service again. As many others seems to have the scenario as me.

where do you enter the code?

    • Also wondering how you add a code? Stepped all the way through to complete button but couldn't see it.

      • +2

click on “complete” and you can enter the code

        • Thank you!

  • My tip, drop the phone off in person, and take photos of the device before you drop it off.

The valuation is usually the highest among other providers but only if your phone is in pretty much new condition. Even the smallest imperfection and they'll knock hundreds off the valuation.

The return satchel they send you for your device is shit, who knows what could happen in shipping. Plus based on the above comments it looks to be above where they do dodgy inspections of your device. I've only ever done a trade-in in-person to their Melbourne CBD office.

Pretty much only worth if your phone is in mint condition, and you're going into the Melbourne CBD office so that you can monitor the bloke handling your device. Otherwise, better off going to JB/Officeworks/Costco/Apple for a trade in.

    • Pretty much what I said but got negged

      • lol someone has gone and negged every comment here which talks negative about Mobile Monster

seems like an associated account…mods might wanna look into this

Wow, with that pixel 8 bought from telstra deal can be sold for $515 making a cool $116 profit

  • Awks… Oppo Find X5 isnt listed

    • they accept things with resale value lol

      • Its newer then an X2 and X3 they have listed :S ….

  • I tried to sell my ip11 with offer $290 plus $35.
Once sent, they said there is crack at the back panel and offered me $130. I simply asked to return it and checked that ip11. Nothing happen, no crack at all. Not sure whats going on.

    • You should be glad they didn’t break your phone before returning it.
After reading all the comments, it seems the $35 bonus is just a bait. If even one out of three people accepts their lowball offer, they’ll keep running this scam.

  • When you choose drop-off, can you wait on the spot until it get accessed as accepted (or rejected)?

    • I’ve dropped my devices off many times with them. When you drop it off all they do is a quick look at it like if the screen is cracked or does it have big dents etc. The actual assessment happens a day or two after that.

  • I had a good experience. I sold my iPhone to mobile monster with the coupon. It went well!

I described it as 'Working'. I packaged it well and posted it in my own box and printed the address on paper which I taped to the box. They assessed it and paid the amount quoted plus $35 as per the coupon. The whole process took about two weeks. I honestly can't fault it. I was initially a little suspicious as the amount they quoted was more than what these phones were selling for on FB marketplace. But it seems they are the real deal.

I guess the most important factor is to describe your phone accurately. If you're curious you can play around with the faults and see how much value they knock off the device. A cracked glass knocks almost $200 off the value.

  • sold my phone, got the $35 bonus. also completed in about 2 weeks. thanks op
