I just bought an iphone 16 Pro Max for $1,879 delivered, which seems to be a couple of hundred cheaper than elsewhere I've seen.
Please note: This is an eSim model and does not support physical Sim cards.

Is this an issue? I may still be able to cancel my order but I didn't know what the concern was?
No concern if you never need a physical sim
That's Good. It might have snapdragon
a month ago officeworks 1762 Australian stock.
$1879.99 at Costco. Note: membership needed.
No physical sim slot = stay away unless you want to be locked in to a esim carrier.
What does it mean to be locked into an esim carrier? If I just use Telstra as my provider and no-one else, is the esim an issue?
Only if you do SIM slutting every so often and you may come across some providers not having the option of esim. If you are only with Telstra and use esim already then shouldn't be any issue.
Can't imagine many people doing that would also be spending almost $2k on a phone.
@maimai: You would be surprised! Just like EV drivers spending huge amounts on the car then fight for the cheapest chargers in the area, cracks me up.
@BatmanAU: So it would be acceptable to spend the same 'huge amount' on a car with an ICE and still hunt for the cheapest petrol?
@topherboi: Yeah, if I purchased a new Merc, I’m not hanging around fighting people for ten cents off, unless I blew all my money buying a top dollar car and couldn’t afford fuel!
if you travel, roaming might be your only option too.
You could have used this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/910029 day-before yesterday
to PB Officeworks. I got a 16 Black Titanium 256 Pro Max for 1709.99
No you couldn’t. Grey imported stock as they are based in Hong Kong.
Bad deal considering local stock with a SIM slot is similarly priced quite often.
I would be a little bit worried about the 4G and 5G bands it supports, it may not get full coverage on some Australia service providers. Definitely check that out before buying.
I have this mobile phone which I bought many months ago. I got it for much cheaper due to my phone plan. It is very fast and has an excellent display with HDR and amazing brightness. It has good amount of Ram so it never feels slow. The hard drive inside the phone is fast too. The camera has zoom so it takes great photos from far away. The build is solid, feels like it's made of solid metal. The ergonomics is also great and never feels like it will slip off your hand. The Apps runs fast and there are many video games for it you can download from the App store for cheap, most games are less than $10. The graphics are very good. The battery life is excellent and lasts the whole day for me. It also has AI which you can ask questions…very handy and also has a voice assistance feature called Siri that can use your voice to control Apps and features including tasks just by using your voice, works like magic. It seems like a high quality phone that will last many years and it is a good buy even though it is on the pricier side. I would rate it 9/10 for sure, good phone.
That's grey import from either US or Canada. No physical sim slot. Not even one.
