      • Marlon Brando must have been really thirsty in that scene…

  • If it's locally-brewed Stella (as opposed to imported) it's not even worth $29.99. It's like VB in a nice bottle.

    • -3

Stella is a lager, VB is a bitter

      Compare Artois to artois…. :)

VB is not a bitter! It's a lager.
        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Bitter

      • VB is not a bitter at all in the traditional sense. English bitters are those golden brown ales (often called "Pale Ales"). Traditional bitters are "top fermented" (Like Coopers Sparkling Ale), rather than bottom fermented. Despite its name, Victoria Bitter is a lager.

    • Agreed Zappa… Local or NZ brewed imported branded beers should be a crime. The local brewers should have thier licenses revoked for producing such camel piss

    • How can you tell if its locally brewed? Without tasting it of course.

      • Have a look on the carton and bottles. It will have to say which it is.

Imported is higher quality - but it may have suffered in a long transit time.

There are a huge number of far superior beers brewed in NSW and Vic that you should go for anyway. Again, you get what you pay for.

        • Agreed. I'd rather take a fresher local brew than a stale imported one.

        • the local one is brewed in UK but bottled here in australia

    • No way. The locally brewed is far, far better than VB and goes down so refreshingly in these summer months. Great deal! Ideal for drinking without your pinkey facing upwards

i called malvern east store, and the guy Josh told me to bring the voucher and they will price match it.. $1.25/bottle!!! Thanks a lot OP!!

    • No worries. That store's on my way home, I often go there or Prahran (near my office) to price match - never had a problem!

  • Just had it price matched at DM's in Chapel St Prahran no problem.

    • just bought the one brewed and packaged in UK at malvern east store. acted dumb when asked about the different packaging.. lol

      • Same, mine's the one brewed in the UK. It's travelled a long way……
