So did I - my daughter is a whovian! Great Chrissy present

  • Will this work with the Wii U?
Would probably need to get the motion plus attachment (which will look unslighty at the bottom of the Sonic Screwdriver but its Doctor Who so I guess I can over look that lol)

    • It will work.

      • Hope so lol they look awesome and at the price I ordered one just to find out

  • If only I loved the Wii as much as I love Doctor Who

  • oh so tempting but I'll pass this time…

  • Great deal, thanks a heap.

  • As much as I'd like to get it (Wiimote for $10 is a steal, I admit), I'm just not that much of a Doctor Who fan…

  • Awesome, thanks op.

Not a Doctor Who fan (or really a Wii fan for that matter), but for $4.99 (after redeeming the 5000 points Ozgameshop sent out in May), I couldn't pass it up.

It should look cool on the study shelf.

  • did anyone else buy this for them self, while not owning a Wii?

    • maybe….

see the very first reply? Use those things above your nose.

  • Is it me or did the price go up to $15?

    • not $15. only $14.99 :)

I have two of these and they are the only remotes I use.

They obviously DONT work in the plastic wheels if thats an issue for anyone.

The only problem I had was they didnt synch easily , I had to open the panel and do it manually..

Still good at $14.99. Thanks OP.

  • Well mine arrived today - seems to have issues charging and looking on the interwebs shows that its a common problem - the built in battery may be defecting or totally drained and won't charge …

Seems to charge while the wii is switched on and the device is synced —- but will try charging overnight - currently if I charge it for a minute and disconnect goes dead straight away..

The red charging indicator light should remain steady - if it is blinking, it means its not charging..

I'll update this post with more information as I gleam it

    • got mine yesterday.

charged over night(didn't really mean to but went out and forgot about it.)

just unplugged it, it will not turn on.

      • Gees that poor form are they offloading dodgy ones? I was gunna keep mine in the box for the collection, but now tempted to try it first.

    Update time,

Opened it up and found the battery was swollen — emailed photos to ozgameshop and they informed me I will be given a refund and no need to send it back.

Visited hobbykind to find replacement battery (500mah 3.7v lipo) but none of the batteries are the ideal size (~40mm x 18mm x 9mm) so the search continues…

New battery will end up costing me around 7 to 10 dollars so I'm no worse off (but no better off given the time involved and work involved in changing the battery - which is double sided adhesive stuck to the circuit board).

Once I find a battery that suits I'll post the link here…

I suspect ozgameshop had a large collection they wanted to offload with some being potentially expired batteries so rather than open and test each one, sell them cheaply and process issues as they arise…

    • ANy chance u can msg me (cannot message you) and send me a couple of pics of your battery as mine looks OK but doesnt hold charge either. Like to compare who swollen yours is compared to mine.

        Hey Dazzza,

No probs - once I get home I'll upload them to my site and put the links here for you and anyone else who is having the same problem to use for comparing.

You can test your battery by disconnecting it from the circuit board and using a multimeter to measure the voltage. My one measures 0.000V so its chemically dead…

  • Thanks mate, multimeter seems the way to go :)

  • Okey dokey - Images of swollen battery - when pressed (gently) it feels firm but soft (not squishy).
