        ahhh.. thanks for that…

  • I tried logging in, adding it to the cart and putting it through the checkout. It had small item delivery of $4.95 added to the order and kept it there.

    I didn't make the purchase.

Is the free shipping working for other people?

40 batteries for $12.50 is 31c each, I get the Varta batteries from Bunnings 30 batteries for $8.98 is 30c each, everyday price. They last just as long as the energizers I tested them against too.

    • These are home delivered for free. Good for avoiding queues and if you live a long way away from Bunnings and DSE stores

I got a pack from Bunnings as well. Never again, not happy with them. I usually use industrial Energizers.

Ordered a pair of CR2032s. Wonder if it'll come in a shoebox-sized parcel.

  • I am using the free delivery to send my xmas presents direct from Dicks. No wrapping to do and no queueing at the post office. Just need to send the bums a cheap card each and i'm laughing. ; )

All this POWER for so cheap.
    Exceeellent! Muahahahah

  • Thank you so much, netted 2 of these.

  • Thanks, sounds like a decent offer so ordered some to click and collect

  • This offer must not be available in store as I just purchased this about 2 hours ago at the Joondalup, WA store and was charged full price.

I'm assuming you need to order using click & collect to get the 50% off deal in store?

  • I've just placed an order and selected pick up from a store.
Can anyone explain to me why my total is $28.94.

    1 x Dick Smith AAA Alkaline Battery 30pk $11.49
    1 x Dick Smith AA Alkaline Battery 40pk $12.50
    Item Subtotal $23.99
    Collection Fee $0.00
    Total $28.94

    • I had the same problem with my click & collect order.

      1 x Dick Smith CR2032 Lithium Button Cell Battery 2pk $3.75
      1 x Dick Smith AA Alkaline Battery 40pk $12.50
      1 x Dick Smith AAA Alkaline Battery 30pk $11.49
      Item Subtotal $27.74
      Collection Fee $0.00
      Total $32.69

It seems to be including the $4.95 postage fee in the click & collect order somehow. Surely they won't charge us for it when I go in store to pay for it?

EDIT: My first time doing click & collect and I just noticed they only hold the item for 24 hours. Was planning on picking it up Monday morning when I went to work. Can anyone else enlighten me on how strict this 24 hour click & collect period is?

      • +1

Based on my experience it is not strictly enforced. I have often picked up in store several days after creating an online order and they still had the goods with my name on them out the back of the shop.

    • Please don't worry foma2. I can assure you, you will be charged only $23.99 when you collect them at store. I have the same problem with them few months ago. Nothing serious. Have a good evening

      • thanks, mate. i'm just wondering if I won't be able to come on monday can they keep my order for a few more days ?

        • i think depends on the store. my last order with point cook store ( ordered it on Saturday and collected on Thursday) was fine but other store at altona gate won't keep it for more than 24 hrs ( they expected you to collect them on Sunday if you ordered it on Saturday). i would suggest please call them and let them know the day you will be collecting your items. cheers

        • Thanks for advise.

    much much cheaper than dse..

    • delivered?

      • $8.95 delivery for me, still a good deal.

  • thx, got a SR626 battery. Now trying to pry open the watch in a 3-part weather station… grrhh… ozb… grrhh

  • Wonder how the dicksmith charger + battery pack are? Cant find any reviews kinda thing…

    http://dicksmith.com.au/product/S4067/dick-smith-charger-wit…

    • I would strongly recommend you to buy a desent charger like La Crosse BC700 or MAHA C9000 (the latter is the best one). Do search in ozbargain and you'll find deals. If they are dead, wait for a couple of months and you'll get one of these for a very reasonable price.

  • Only just managed to make it into the store today to attempt to pick up the click & collect order I submitted on Saturday. The staff member at the Murray St, Perth store explained that they are only held for 24 hours and my order had been placed back on the shelves. However he was good enough to still honour the order at the discounted price as they still had the items in stock. Stoked!
