Hi all, I've always had a Pixel with unlimited photo backup but I just upgraded to a Pixel 9.
How do I transfer photos to the old Pixel?
I also have a Pixel 1 OG and was planning to use Syncthing exactly as described in this deal, but it looks like the app will be discontinued in December.

Syncthing will still work after next month. It's just the Android app that won't be updated. I'm happily running syncthing on my Android devices (both installed via f-droid).
My Pixel 1 is about to die as the battery started swelling so I was playing around with custom ROMs on some of my older phones and I noticed that the PixelExperience ROM installed on an old Xiaomi Mi A3 actually shows up as a Pixel 6 Pro and Google Photos reports that the phone can upload full quality photos for free. So I am using syncthing-fork to send my pics to that phone now for backup.
The same did not work when I flashed PixelExperience on an old Samsung phone so not sure what that depends on but maybe this helps others who don't have a real working Pixel phone…
What do you think is the cause of the battery swelling?
Most likely because I have to keep the charging cable plugged in 24/7 as the battery would not hold any charge anymore.

i also heard of pixelify which makes any phone thinks it a pixel
