    • Mine is still "Processing" but I requested a C&C.

      • yea same here C&C but not moving lol

  • Looks like it might be back in stock

  • Yes back in stock, i just bought one in Sydney

    • C&C order or walk in thanks

  • Same as others have said, it shows as available for Click & Collect or Delivery in SE Qld even though it's not in stock at any store around me.
NB- the 10% member's discount ends midnight tonight.

This is a massive bargain! You'd struggle build something with all this capability for $269, even without a battery.

  • +2

4 days on and my click and collect still says "processing" even though was marked as in stock in the store. Starting to believe these aren't real lol. Has anyone actually received one of these?

    • Received confirmation on the day of the order for C&C, collected the following morning.

  • No tax invoice or shipping update after four days, reckon there's an apology email and refund incoming πŸ™

  • Better process it quick, flash flooding in Brisbane. Want this as backup!

  • Still processing, I smell a refund incoming

  • Mine was marked as ready to collect without an hour.
Picked up the next day, guy in store said β€˜you were one of the lucky ones that got a bargain’ πŸ˜€

    • Your last comment said it was OOS for you?

  • +1

Why the early pessimism - this was a Black Friday sale and its only Monday. Could take time to transfer stock from their warehouse to the stores

    • +2

Trauma. This is OzBargain, we've all been hurt before

  • +3

I'm sus about these actually being the safer LiFePO4 chemistry. The Australian add doesn't actually mention it and the international specs referenced says 22.2v (and the ah and whr calculations they give) would suggest it's lithium ion chemistry.
Li ion are multiples of 3.7v nominal vs LiFePO4 is 3.2v nominal. eh the standard 4 cell LiFePO4 "12v" battery is 12.8v.
So either the voltage is wrong or this would have to be a 6 cell 43.5ah li-ion pack

    • The 22.2V is probably measuring "Max" voltage, not nominal. LFP max is around 3.65V so 6S would be 22V give or take.

      • this guy lipos.
        Yeah I would guess 6S

      • Easiest way to tell will be the charger voltage when it arrives. If it's 25.xV you've got yourself one of the less safe chemistries.

        • Charger is- output: 17.0V. 7.0A 119.0W

          • @22slurpee: 17v ?? That's so random, it doesn't correspond to any of the usual voltages - advertised or otherwise!!
Maybe it's a 4 cell lithium ion pack charging to 4.25v to allow for balancing ?
Or is is a 5 cell LFP conservatively / undercharging to only 3.4v/cell ?
It sounds like either way it has a different battery than what was advertised on other pages.
At 17v fully charged it can't be either the claimed 43ah nor 22v.
I'd be interested to know the cell count if anyone is popping the lid.

  • House panel too much voltage correct ?

    • Yes and not the right connector.

  • I saw video where a guy put in serial two panels and smelt burning and fried unit wonder what fried ? It is now back to regular price

    • Now $1099. Woah what a price!

  • I reckon the only users who will be getting one are the ones that had actual stock at their local store.

Mine didn't have stock but still allowed me to order it for C&C, presumably being shipped there from a different store.

I reckon my chances of getting it are slim to none.

  • +1

I popped into a store and asked if there were any status updates (mine still says processing too) and they said normally the stores get large deliveries from the warehouses on Wednesday's and Fridays.
I'm not holding my breath tho πŸ˜¬πŸ˜•

  • +1

I just got a "Your order is ready" for my C&C in VIC at Drouin Mitre 10.

    • I got the same, see you down there. Said delivery in 2-3 days when ordered on Friday so in line with expectations

      • +1

Yeah, exactly. Now to do a run from Warragul to Drouin sometime this week.

    • +1

same in QLD… and got a call from the store to pick up

      • Wooohooo, happy for you guys. Least we know it was a legit deal and not a price error!

    • +1

Still got nothing in vic, just "processing"

      • Same for me in QLD (Kenmore)

  • +1

yep just got confirmation and picked mine up in Sydney - no issues

  • +2

just want to help those who are still after one there is 2 units left at Pendle Hill Sydney when I picked up

    • Lol yeah @ $1099.

      • +2

At $299 mate or else I won’t be telling you

          • @edfoo: i just bought another spare at $299, they ordered more in guys. First in first serve in store ONLY

        • -1

@smeng do you mind sharing an invoice ? I'd like to give it a try price matching.

  • Just got contacted and collected mine at Niddrie VIC

  • I got the call too, just now. Brisbane Qld.

  • +1

There were non available in majority of Vic stores for most part during the promotion. Just two days after the sale, most of them have stock now at $1099 lol.

  • Can someone provide a link to cheap solar panels for these? and how long roughly it'l take to charge?

    • They are all expensive at the moment. Now that Yard Force have cleared stock of their Power stations at Mitre10, hope they do a clearance on their Solar blankets too 🀞. No one in their right mind is going to pay $449 listed price.

      https://www.mitre10.com.au/yard-force-solar-blanket-200w-sui…

    • Maybe try a Kings 200W which is $240 ish with a bag. I've got a folding solar blanket for the Ute that I can going to try on this unit (picked mine up yesterday).

  • Picked up mine in Sydney. Included charger is slow-ass though. Charging at 109watts as per the screen.

Still not bad at all for $269.

    • Does the Anderson port provided will make it any faster ? I charged it for like 4 1/2h for like 50%

      • No idea. But as per the specs, that Anderson port can take upto 200w of juice. So in theory, it will be quicker than the included brick charger.

        • Yea so half the time it would take with the charger provided that means it would still take roughly 4-5 hours with the Anderson plug to fully charge it. Let me know if anyone find a cheap deal on the Anderson charger cheers

  • Just got a pickup notification QLD

  • I hope mines not dodgy. I'm trying to charge it, the screen comes on but goes out after a few seconds. It shows that it came with 21% charged, but next to it I see a status of 'Err'. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

    • Damn just picked mine up, better test it.

  • There is nothing for me in Canberra, hopefully, I get the call soon.

  • What's the cheapest solution to charge this thing faster?

30V , 7ah max charging Is 210w through the dc port, what do I buy can I kill the power station with the wrong ac adapter?

Or some kind of AC powered Anderson plug?

Yeah 115W with the included charger is too slow.

  • Charging both of mine using the included power pack to get to 100% then do a full discharge as it instructs. One seems stuck at 97% , taking 116w apparently but doesn't seem to be going much further. That normal? I'm nervous leaving it going for overcharge degradation but want it to max at 100% to calibrate properly.
Also, anyone know anything about battery station boxes or carry bags, that you can leave the battery in whilst it powers things or charges via solar? Will be camping or charging in backyard, not going in an RV, so need something ventilated but rainproof. Googled and came up with not much useful info.

    • Where did you see the instruction to fully charge then discharge? My printed manual doesn't mention that; neither does online PDF manual linked above…
Currently charging mine with included charger - charging at 114-116W.
Closest box I could find so far is this one from Bunnings: https://www.bunnings.com.au/ezy-storage-18l-bunker-tough-hea…

      • Oh you're right I've been reading posts across many forums where people have said that on first use. The manual doesn't say discharge fully, but it does say charge it fully each time (page 7 To obtain best life from the battery).
So they did get to 100% just took much longer than the time remaining was counting down.

Anyone know if xboost to 2400 watt mentioned on page 9 can be used for 1 AC port and how to make it happen or is 1200 watt the max for each port?

        • Mine was stuck at 99% for nearly 1.5 hours. I turned charging off and turned on again, and it started showing 100% charge.

Xboost to 2400 watt will only be for few seconds of surge. Don't expect it to hold for more than 10 seconds. Total combined output is 1200w sustained.

  • The manual says to never fully discharge.

  • I'm also interested in getting a new charger that charges the thing faster, 100w is ridiculous. I guess we know why it was such a a good sale

    • +2

Slower charging gives the balancer more time to balance, so better longevity is gained by slower charging.

  • +4

Picked mine up this morning, unbelievable value. Quality charger and cables and the overall unit feels premium. The 17v / 7A 240v brick charger is adequate and honestly i wouldn't want to put much higher amperage through the DC port (i feel 17V/7A is about the safe limit). The unit takes a long time to charge given the 974Wh battery - quite a bit larger than many cheap PowerStation's on the market. Most large Wh ebikes take 6+hrs to charge and this is not really any different. Had a quick run over on the 240V system and happily toasted 4 slices of bread in my quad toaster at slightly over 1200w continuous. Overall so far very happy, wish i'd bought 2!

Great review, thanks. Just got the email saying I can pick mine up too, so excited.

My delonghi eletta made me a lovely flat white. Can stick the machine in the boot next time we go for a drive

        • This is the way!! πŸ‘πŸ»

knocked up a 30A > 50A anderson plug and connected to a 10A folding solar panel. Full sun i'm seeing 127A which works back to be around 10A rating of the panels and seems to ramp up and down with cloud cover as expected. Probably my only criticism is it does seem a little slow to react from shaded cloud cover back to full sun with respects to charge flowing into battery, i guess its no Victron :D. Not sure if its an inbuilt PWM or MPPT. Absolute bargain for $269!

  • +2

Picked mine up today. There was a trolley full of them waiting for collection lol.

Fantastic value. Now to give it a bit of a stress test.

  • +3

Just picked up my, working perfectly with the solar panel i bought for $99 charging at 116w per hour. Currently 57% 4 hours to 100%

  • +1

Picked mine up also. Charging 108w off a 160W panel. No issues at all. 4hrs to full charge. Quality seems high. Overall, happy so far.

Re. Warranty, my local Mitre 10 said it's bring back to store for a full swap/refund, not to bother with the supplier at all.

      • Yes. Although, I don't have the 15/30/45 small style Anderson plugs on hand thus I've used some alligator clips onto the terminals temporarily. So, 50A Anderson plug on Solar>50a Anderson plug>cable>Aligator clips>'Solar in' port.

        • Haha that's a nice little hack πŸ˜…

          • +1

@HappyPants: It's dodge, but it works for now πŸ™‚

          • @edfoo: Yeah,. I've ordered 30a connectors. Will make a 50a>30a Anderson cable up.

          • @edfoo: Anyone know what kind of anderson plug is needed for the power station 30amp? Using 50amp anderson=>alligator clip => DC plug. Works and charge at 116w of a 160w panel, but would prefer the proper plug

            • @Woosta: They're known as 'PP 30' plugs.

              • @BrutusB: Thank you. I took the whole powerstation to Jaycar lol. And got the i guess PP 30 plugs. All wired up now and looking good.

Thanks guys.. now its going to run all my Christmas lights… all those twinkly

                • @Woosta: Did Jaycar have the 50A to 30A cable or just the connectors?

                  • @ShortyX: I just bought the connectors as my 50A andersons cable was naked on the other end, so was a quick diy job

      • +4

For people still trying to figure out how to connect to solar (PV), this is what I did…
Searched high & low for ready-made Anderson 50A connector to Anderson 30A connector (also called PowerPole 15-45 connector, AKA PP30). Earlier posts turned up a a few options but they were either OOS, pricey ($39) or not for shipping to Aus.
In the end I bought one of these: CE081E https://www.master-instruments.com.au/products/64434/ce081e.…. It's available from a few resellers.
It's pre-wired using correct connectors (Anderson PP 15-45) and with 11AWG cable, which is about as thick as you'll get into these connectors. I then just cut off the ring connectors and crimped a standard 50A Anderson connector to the end. Total cost ~$20.
This cable will handle about 40A so won't be a bottleneck for solar charge.
        Hope that helps others.

Has anyone tried using it as a UPS?

I plugged in an AC load and the device seems to keep the AC output running regardless of charging/discharging. So it might be a go, depending on what happens when it fully charges to 100% SOC, and the load is not more than the charger can supply.

    • +4

Ok I've tried using as a UPS now. It takes the top off the battery the whole time. So it can be used like an active UPS, but it will ruin the cells over time.

  • +3

Picked up mine yesterday at Drouin VIC. The lady was like, "oh not another one! I missed out on it! The warehouse is OOS". I said, "the power of OzBargain and WFH, get all the deals". She was bummed.

  • I've got a solar panel that came with my pump (definitely under powered, but I thought I'd see if it could 'trickle' charge this battery if it's possible).

Does anyone know if there is an adapter that will convert this plug (see link) to either an anderson or 6530 jack?

    https://ibb.co/MfdvW65

  • Did anyone definitively conclude what type of battery is in this thing?

    • I don't think so, but some hints:

      • Spec says 974.4Wh (22.4v) - same in the paper manual and the European one posted earlier in the thread.
I'm certainly no expert, but 22.4 is divisible neatly by 3.4 (3.4 x7) so maybe that suggests LFP?

      • The manual recommends charging to 100% (but not fully discharging) - that feels like LFP advice, but could just be bad advice.

      • +1

it also says not to charge when cold which is a classic LFP limitation.

      • 22.4 is divisible neatly by 3.4 (3.4 x7)

        Hmmm.

        I think you mean 22.4 is 3.2 x 7.

        Which means LFP. Yaay!

    • +5

I just emailed the manufacturer and they confirmed LiFePO.

I got mine yesterday and tested today with ALDI's induction cooker and it worked perfectly up to about setting 12 (out of 20) which topped out around 1200 watts. Very impressed. It was reasonably quiet too. For $269 this is a fantastic buy. Thanks OP!
