    I just want to say far cry 2 was a game I hated but when i think back it stayed with me more than it should. It did something right.

      The open landscape, large part of the game during the day. I enjoy driving the huge maps and it feels like I am out in Africa. I just hate that Africans have evolved the ability to respawn. ALL THE TIME.

      It's good, but could have been great.

    Orders that are still being processed will more than likely be canceled unfortunately. Those that have activated and started downloading should be safe. Too many conflicting issues if they start taking away product keys from accounts. It's like telling Luke that he can't use the force.

          Well .. Lets say you are talking as Luke .. it reads as he knew he had a sister but not who it was.
          In the movie the moment he was told he had a sister he knew it was Leia. So if he(we) knew he was seeking a sister from the beginning then I'd say he would have suspected when they first met (not many women in Star Wars at all so odds were good) and not developed a weird crush on her… or maybe not … the point is you changed the context of discovery.

      I think I had this problem with Driver:SF a few months back. Try running uPlay first then login and register the key then launch the game.

        If I run uPlay first, the game isn't in the library yet. If I run the game first, the game is shown in my library with a lock symbol on it, then when I try to register it comes up invalid.

    Holy god that was a mission just to install the game. I think Uplay takes the cake… at least origin knows how to download and install games properly.

          yep mine works fine, i bought it pretty early but didn't start downloading it until now. @spaceinvader112 this happened with brotherhood for me. Honestly can't remember how i fixed it but will search google now.

          You don't have to enter the key anywhere. Start up the installed game and it will launch uPlay, then you enter your key when prompted.

          holy crap I just realised uplay took away all my games from previous deals… all those games I got 2 years ago for free like Hawx, Ghost Recon, and recently Anno. The heck!

          My cd key is also not working, stating its already in use and I have lodged a ticket with ubisoft.

      for $8 i wont complain too much but it is pretty poor.

      Install Game stop ap.
      download game.
      start game installer.
      When game finishes start uplay installer.
      create uplay account.
      copy key from gamestop window to uplay window.
      Start game.
      Download updates.
      When update finishes click on popup saying there are more updates.
      New installer window pops up for next update.
      Uplay has another popup saying it will redirect you to a web page for the next update.
      Download another 250MB patch from website.
      start yet another installshield installer for the 3rd patch.

        In uplay patching, if you click quit after the first patch was successfully downloaded and installed, press Play and it will prompt to download the 2nd patch which is 1.03, don't need to download from website

        after installing everything, you no longer need to open gamestop app anymore to play FC 3, just uplay, someone mentioned Steam version forces you to open uPlay app as well to play so it's definitely back on the same method.

          Ok, still the process is stupid.

          After patch 1 it said there are more updates do you want to install them now. Click yes and it downloads and installs 1.02. When that finished it sent me to a website for 1.03
          Page it opened was: http://far-cry.ubi.com/fc-portal/en-AU/downloads/index.aspx

          They may be other ways like what you posted above but i was just following the promps that came up.

          Edit: and the GSA ap is crap as well. When i reboot now i get an error with it trying to open f: (which i dont even have) I will uninstall it now i have FC3 installed but still….

          i got the same prompt mate,

          i ignored the website though it showed there was the far cry experience youtube vids to watch and those vids made me lol

          if you go back to the patch download window it lets you "quit" after successfully downloading and installing the patch

          just press Play again in uPlay and this same download window will pop up to download the next latest patch, to know the version you're downloading, click on "advanced" and the patch version is shown, it seems the patching is done in stages instead of the latest patch containing all fixes and superceding the previous versions.
