i hope they discount the 4G/LTE dongle too.

  • How many extra days does the $40 recharge give you eg +30 days? +180 days.

  • Hi Rep, does this offer expire as per the date stated in this advertisement?

Do we have to use up the included 5gb from date of purchase or from first login?

    • time of activation.

Hey Rep, any chance of a 4G deal? 3G is bloody hopeless around here…

    • +2

Curious, can we get a good 4G even though the 3G coverage is bad?

      • Yeah. I get 200-500kbs with 3G and 1.2 to 1.7megabytes a second with 4G in Glebe, NSW. Then in other areas of Sydney I can get 800kbps with 3G

  • Can we use the $40 recharge for charging any telstra prepaid mobile?

    • keen to find that out as well.

      Have 4 telstra prepaid devices.

  • Coops1 - Please see recharge rates and expiry here: http://www.telstra.com.au/internet/mobile-broadband/prepaid/…

eevee888 - The offer does expire at the end of January. The 30 days is from the date of activation.

tazmaniak - The deal is only for the Elite 3G device.

    • thanks, is there any chance of getting the $180 recharge for $40 off, or using it in-store as a credit against a higher value recharge?……one can only ask :)….SOLD if that option becomes available.

  • +1

Put up a deal for the 4g dongle and you'll see some movement. I have one of those 3g ones and it's only ok. 4g is the only one I'd get. I had a 3g one die today (not the wifi model). Actually, all up we have 1 plan sim, two prepaid sims. 1 phone plan sim, 1 pre paid sim, all with Telstra. I don't know how you did it but I think I got suckered somewhere :P

  • How much is shipping and how long would it take ?

    • Hi melmac77 - shipping is free and would take 2-5 business days (please consider public holidays at this time of year).

    • I live in canberra and purchased a pre-paid thing from Telstra on Sunday, it arrived on Tuesday. I'd say if you purchased tonight you would get it by Christmas Eve if you're in a metro area.

Once you've used up the data, it becomes freaky expensive. I have an old MF30 lying around. Not going to recharge. Too expensive.
And 30 days expiry on the initial 5GB is too short.

  • Nice. Bought one. Thanks OP.

  • Is this locked?

    • yes and it can't be unlocked easily either!

  • Thats not fair. I bought this exact item online from Telstra yesterday for $79. Rep anything you can do for me ??

    • and that was bought without the $40 bonus

  • when did Telstras 12GB plan get $60 more expensive? It used to be $120ish.

I was keen til I looked at the priceguide

    • I think it used to be $150 for 10G, telstra has changed it to $180 for 12G. $/GB is the same.. but I was kinda upset because of the extra 2 gigs that I dont need. I was even struggling to finish the 10G I had from the previous year

  • $180 is a rip Had to go back to a plan.

  • SO purchased this the other day, received today.

First of all the box has been opened and resealed.

Secondly, there's no sim card to be found anywhere!

Thirdly called telstra, and have gone through 5 different service departments all of which can't seem to answer my questions nor get me a sim, the most recent of which stated that it doesn't come with a sim card and I need to purchase one!!! But they have have to talk to their supervisor, been at this for almost 2 hours now…

    WHAT A JOKE.

First and last purchase direct from Telstra unless this is seriously rectified.

    Any thoughts Telstra REP?

    • Hiding ?
      Telstra the new Vodafone?
