    Apple cannot get their act together when it comes to hardware at the moment. I dont think the blocking will happen.

    The authorisation module in these leads should be the same as OEM(as far as we know).

    Anyway, at $5 you can replace your cable 5 times before its worth buying 1 OEM lead at $25.

    yes, these are charging/sync (same as whats in the box with apple). They work with all the new devices otherwise we would not be selling them.

    The blocking refers to "rumours" spreading around the web (most probably by the apple PR machine themself) about future software updates changing the authorisation codes which these cables have, and blocking its use.

    We should all remember, the chip inside the OEM cable is NOT MADE BY APPLE, nor are the CABLES MADE BY APPLE, nor are your NEW APPLE DEVICES MADE BY APPLE. All the items are ASSEMBLED by a chinese/taiwan company, FOXCONN, which are supplied components from local chinese companies (who also supply to OTHER customers).

        you should, everthing is going out tomorrow monring, only takes 2 days AT MOST to get to most locations around aust if your metro, 3 days if you outside.

  Thanks for everyones enthusiam with the cables, the response has been massive (ever without frontpage votes). It looks like the deal will close early, I only have 20 more units at this price. I'll get everyones parcels out tomorrow morning.

  Sorry to those who might have missed out. I'll try and most some other specials in the new year.

  Let me know if anyone is interested in 3m lightning cables? I know I'm always pulling the cable out of mine when watching TV and charging the iPad at the same time. 3m would really help. I'll get some manufactured if your interested.
