  • MSY is selling 2 versions of ASUS N series

    $888 for shared video
$949 for dedicated video —> now you can get it for $799

  • This is a true "Bargain". It's actually cheaper than getting from oversea. Good Stuff!

  • Damn that is a great price.

  • lol, who would want to buy a netbook with Intel Atom and 1GB Ram to play 3D game. These netbooks are for web surfing. To me, it's useless. With $800, buy a Dell instead, much more powerful for game.

  • This is a friendly reminder to every bargain hunters out there…

As a netbook user, I initially thought this was a brilliant deal.
However, after doing some research I would only think its a so so deal.

There are different version of N10 for sale….
This particular version has the best Graphics card BUT with the lowest spec on RAM, Hard Drive, no asus bags+mouse & no wireless N.

I've seen better deals with 2gb ram, 320gb HD & wireless bgn less than 1k.

My conclusion? Its a reasonable deal. Not a top one. But still deserves a +1.

  • +1

RAM , hard disk , Bags etc are all user upgraderable . Graphics card isn't . So a +1 from me

    • I think you have missed my point….

      1GB RAM upgrade = ~40
      HD upgrade = ~120
      Wireless card = Not upgradable….

Even so…. If you are a value for money bargain hunter,
      you'll see that 799 + 120 + 40 equates to 959
AND you are NOT getting a bag + mouse & you miss out on wireless N.

Whereas a similar price will get you all of the above.

      • Please post the link where one can get the deal you mentioned.
        Much appreciated.

  • wireless N not that impt either.

  • Adding a FREE domestic flight ticket would make this a pretty awesome deal!
    http://event.asus.com/au/2008/flyfree/index.htm

    • The terms say it has to have vista home premium. Specs above say XP = no free flight :(

  • Will officeworks price match this?

    • +1

Maybe, just print out that webpage and show to Officeworks staff.
Also tell them onlinecomputer's phone number so that they can verify that stock is available.
Please do not mention to Officeworks that this is a special deal.
They might not want to match (or beat by 5%) a special deal.
If one Officeworks does not work, try next one.
There are plenty of Officeworks on earth.
