I've been doing my research over the last week on these… The infinite range are better.

Check this link for differences - better nonstick, dishwasher safe, stainless steel lids (instead of glass), stainless steel handles (instead of silicone) and can be put in the oven up to 260 degrees C.

      • Stainless steel handles means HOT HANDLES. I can't understand why they bother putting handles on pots at all if they are too hot to hold. Using a pot holder to stop burns kinda defeats the purpose of having a nice looking pot. I know some people say 'The more expensive brands don't get hot AS QUICKLY as cheaper brands' but they still get hot, and if you're boiling thick sausages or something else that'll take half an hour, the stainless steel handle will get hot! I've lived with wooden or plastic pot handles at home my entire life, but burnt myself a few times when I tried to help in a friend's kitchen and didn't realise their pot handles aren't designed to be held. Design flaw if you ask me.

        • You can place your plastic handles in the oven if you wish, please post before and after pics for us.

  • A couple of days ago, COTD was cheaper I believe…

    • I saw them on COTD for $299 but sold out pretty quickly.. the cheaper Contempo range was $199 and I think they are still available at that.

      • Thanks~~ I was not too sure about the product lines.

  • I got my Infinite set earlier this year for a little over $200 from Amazon UK. Can highly recommend it. The pots and pans have been through the dishwasher many times with no ill effects, although the instructions still claim hand washing is best.

    • In the past, I've always had pans stripping out due to the non-stick coating (i think)

Is it worth paying the extra? How much life should I expect from it?

      • That's a good question. I really don't know how long the coating will last. It's touted as the highest grade coating Dupont has to offer. Circulon seem to be confident enough to offer a lifetime warranty. The key thing to long Teflon pot life is using plastic or wooden utensils at all times.

      • We have used Circulon, Tefal and Scanpan. Scanpan is the best in terms of non stick and life. Tefal lasts ok but is heavy. Circulon is good but will not last a lifetime… a few years probably. They can just say you overheated (easy to do) to void warranty

    • I'm curious, do you remember how quickly they arrived? I checked Amazon UK and it works out to be ~$230 delivered, but I figure for the extra $30 it was better to order from Victoria's Basement.

      • It was about a week and had tracking info. Shipped via DHL Saver.

  • when does this offer expire?
