How is this different to this one?(https://amzn.asia/d/9pEgzaq)

    • +1

      iq4 vs iq3

  • +1

So whats the diff. Between this and the ganprime? Worth to upgrade?

    • EDIT: Sorry never mind IDK what I'm talking about.

This is much smaller, I use the 735 (65W) as a travel one and 737 (120W) at my desk.

    • +1

Ganprime supports samsung superfast charge 2.0, this one doesn’t

This should be launch price of new ones.

  • Seems physically longer - would be annoying

Too much personal info. Please don't tell us your wife is using this device for personal pleasure…

The product in this post is the 735 A2667. The 735 A2668 GaNPrime is the upgraded model and is more expensive.

A2668 adjusts the power output depending on the connected devices. A2667 has a fixed power output for its three ports.

A2668 is equipped with ActiveShield™ 2.0, which monitors temperature 35 times per second to enhance safety and optimise charging performance. A2667 lacks this enhanced safety monitoring.

    A2668 24-month warranty. A2667 18-month warranty.

      Just to add:

This Anker A2667 doesn't do Samsung SFC 2.0, whereas the A2668 does.

      • So A2667 does maximum of what SFC? 1.0? I'm trying to do a concise comment that puts all the comparison info together as these 2 models are frequently confused/compared. Any way to automatically add a pinned first comment whenever the A2667 gets posted? People don't always read a long description.

          • +1

@RichardL: I'm too dumb to understand this. I bought the 2667 in a previous deal along with a Iniu 100w cable. I charge a S24U and in battery settings it says 'Super Fast Charging 2.0 Connected'…but 2667 doesn’t do SFC2.0?

            • @DrMcStingyPants: Interesting, I owned a S23U and can confirm with the same charger (Anker A2667) and cable (INIU 100W) that it doesn't do SFC2.0.

Based on the technical specs, it shouldn't be possible for the A2667 to get SFC2.0, since it requires at least PPS 3.30-11.00V 4.05A and the A2667 is only PPS 3.30-16.00V 3.25A.

Are you sure that you own the Anker A2667 and/or it's actually SFC2.0 and not 1.0.

              • @RichardL: Yes - I have the Anker A2667 (the same one in this deal) with a 100W INIU cable used with a S24U.

I found a 18W with a random cable to plug into my S24U and battery settings had 'Fast Charger Connected'.

I have no idea how to check for SFC1.0.

            • @DrMcStingyPants: My S23U says the same thing. I own the 2667 as well.

        • This does sfc1.0 and appears to be 30w max on my s25u irrespective of cable. The ugreen 65w does sfc2.0 with a 5a cable.

      • Do you know of what other chargers support Samsung Sfc 2.0 45w charging? Besides the official ones and ones that only have a single port preferably?

      • This is no longer true with the S25U, it now supports 3A.

I think you are honestly trying to be helpful. but to me most of it seems like Anker marketing info copied from Anker page and a bit hard to understand exactly what is different between the two models from just that info.

just a fyi A2667 still has Activeshield 1.0, which measures temp 20 times per second. when you think about it per second it doesn’t really matter, less than 1 second is more than enough to catch if something is overheating.
Anker weirdly likes to claim it checks the temp XXXXX times per night to make the numbers appear bigger.

A2667 also has PowerIQ 3.0. it’s not dynamic like 4.0 but 3.0 is automatic how you would expect the charging to work. 3.0 just has fixed maximums per port so 45W top C port and 20W second C port.
this change happens just once straight after you plug the 2nd device in.

dynamic power for 4.0 means it can do for example 20W out the top C port and 45W out of the second C port, and the change can happen dynamically so if after a few minutes the top port needs 45W instead and the bottom C port device is almost charged and not charging at 45W anymore, it can do that it can detect and change it every few minutes according to the comment I read. or split 30W/35W or any combination totalling 65W with 2 C ports.

according to a comment read the dynamic smarts can sometimes mean a slower charge for certain devices even with just 1 device plugged such as the mentioned gaming device called a streamdeck, which charges faster on the top C port of A2667 than it does using the same port with A2668.

I went with A2667 because without smarts you know what you are going to get. seems like sometimes the A2668’s dynamic PowerIQ 4.0 tries to keep things as efficient as possible to have the maximum output available from another port, and can limit output from one of the C ports even with only 1 plugged.

      • +1

So really the only relevant differences between the two is
        - auto power balances A2668 v fixed power output per port A2667
        - extra 6 months warranty on A2668
        - more up to date charging protocols on the A2668

both have temperature checking and an issue with Apple Watches connected to the USB-A port needing to be unplugged and replugged to work.

        • yeah and apparently the only real benefit of the dynamic power IQ 4.0 is with laptops, which can go up and down by quite a bit in watts compared to most other devices. so you might start editing a video on a 80% charged laptop and power consumption can go up noticeably.

everything else (tablets, phones, power banks, earbuds) normally only goes down in required power as they charge so in my case the simpler A2667 is good enough for everyday use.
if I use my iPad during charging I saw the power go up by 0.2A, so about 1.8W. barely noticeable and not enough to negotiate to higher charging speed.

I simply plug the fastest charging one into the most powerful top port. then slower charging devices into the 20W port.

also yes the the USB-A is more like a kind of nice to have for older slow charging devices.

lightning cables (and Apple cables in general) have a common way of not working well on anything that’s not a Apple charger. I read about it all the time.

in lightning cables in particular, they have a chip that’s powered when it’s plugged it and not charging anything. this causes many non-Apple chargers/power banks to cut power to that port to save energy OR some power banks keep powering back on repeatedly, which in the case of powerbank can drain the it down to 0% in a week or two.

I have a powerbank that detects this disables power to the port completely. next time I plug in any cable I have to use the button to power on the port. this only happens after I use a lightning cable on the USB-A.

  • If my original laptop charger is 65w do you think i can still charge it with 40w? (So with this charger i can use 2 ports at the same time)

    • +2

      Thats dependent on your laptop

    • +4

Surely you can charge but it will be slower than the original. Imagine pouring water from a big bucket vs small.

    • Tried charging macbook pro with 18w, 35w while doing web browsing. works fine. just slow. If you go max brightness, it would be extra slow with 18w but fine with 30w+.

      • Ah i see so it will still get some charge and i can keep using it thanks

  • +1

Wow all time low camels say

  • Does anyone have any real world experience with this charger and the Apple Watch? The listing seems to indicate issues with Apple Watch charging on a USB-A port.

I only have three devices that regularly need charging at the same time when I'm traveling: Apple Watch, iPhone and laptop. Of these, the only one that doesn't benefit from a high powered USB-C port is the Apple Watch. However, the listing indicates to either use a USB-C cable with the watch, or use only one USB-C port if the USB-A has a watch connected.

If I have to do this, then that would effectively make it a two port charger for my purposes.

    • You might be better going for the 735 A2668 GaN Prime version for an extra $20 or so when it is on sale for $59.99 You just missed it but if you can wait I'm sure it will come around again in a few weeks. Track the Amazon price cycle here https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B0BP2F9BJX Yeah I know, $60 for a charger, but if you need to charge all 3 at the same time this should just work.

      • +1

That one also has a caveat on Apple Watch charging "Charge your Apple Watch first when charging multiple devices. If the watch charger is connected to the USB-A port without an Apple Watch connected, unplug and reconnect it before charging."

I've never had an issue with the Apple Watch USB-A charger on a dual USB-A and USB-C charger so I wonder why Anker can't make it work for a triple charger.

        • So the apple watch isn't an issue if connected via USB-C… That is very odd. For me the whole point of these multi port chargers is so you don't have to disconnect cables.

    • Yes, it's a bit unreliable, but it works if you kind of do some plugging and unplugging. I think the middle one needs to be unplugged and replugged after the apple watch has been plugged in. For travel I used this and it was fine, but I think there was one day when I woke up and it hadn't charged my watch. Just make sure you check.

Mine failed after almost 2 years of minimal use. At least did not light up but instead overheated and stopped working.

    • +2

One wonders what fails in these. Was it a fuse or something that protected you or was it just sloppy QC? No one will ever know.

  • +1

Was about to pull the trigger on this from UGREEN. https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/aw/d/B0CHVXYSVQ?smid=AJ0L91KOBU…

Anyone got any thoughts on which is better? Want to power a Steamdeck dock.

    • +1

There's discussion on previous thread of same anker. Check compare the wattages when you charge 3 devices

    • +1

Was going to buy it, but the form factor put me off. I assume you'd be blocking the power point next to it as it's horizontal.

      • +3

This UGREEN charger is very slim, it doesn't block neighbouring power ports.

And to answer Hardicus' question, I consider UGREEN and Anker to be basically the same these days when it comes to quality and reliability, so just buy whichever one makes you happy. I personally own the UGREEN charger, but you can't go wrong with either.

        • +1

Thanks bud. I hear Anker's reputation hasn't been up where it used to be, so I'll grab the UGREEN, never has any issues with their products.

  • Duh regret bought the 33w for $20 just because cheap, didnt use it alot but now i need 65w charger….

    • +8

This is your 4th comment - seems you need a little push, just buy it.

  • Any ody know if his uses pps charging protcol

  • +1

Would you recommend this for when i get my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra? or can u recommend something else instead?

    • +3

If you need Super Fast Charging 2.0, I would recommend looking at other options such as the UGREEN 65W or the Anker GanPrime 65W.

      • +1

why is the UGREEN charger cheaper when it can also do SFC 2.0?

        • Goodwill - Anker is leading company when it comes to Charging.

  • -2

So is this worth buying or trash?

  • -3

this is the only ankle you need other ankle have no leg to stand on. Just push it back and they will fall.

  • Waiting for the GANPrime model to come down to $50 in sale. Finger crossed.

  • there was a deal on the Gan prime model, 2x 735 GN and a 323 for $100 late last year. worth keeping an eye out for
in saying that, the 511 is super tiny and changes my MBA2, so its usually the one that gets thrown in the bag

    • Amazon or Anker website?

      • +2

Usually, Anker runs same deal on Amazon & it's website, at the same time.

      • was on anker website on black friday I think, but keep an eye on it for specials if you can wait.

  • Code no longer required, still $35.99
