  im just not sure "1280 x 720 Effective Pixels" is means HD? but the newer model clearly has HD on its spec whilst this one does not (only VGA, QVGA, QQVGA)
  will the picture looks good on 55" tv?

      I have this camera and the only issue is that skype wont ring when incoming calls. You have to be in front of the tv to see the pop measage.

  TGG castle hill refused to sell it, claim it was online only deal, 88 their price. I didnt have time to argue, bought it from JB at 49.

  Camera works well with the SKYPE app. Overall i'm happy with this, the quality is good and the ease of use for my wife and kids will make it so much more easier!
