    Hope they don't jack

    • +1

that item is already 40% off though

      • Just seen current sale ends just before they start this deal.

        • +5

          What a coincidence!

          • +1

@djkelly69: Well at least they aren't indefinitely "closing down" lol

Members might want to read this post before considering buying from Amart.

    • +2

Indeed. Read every post about Amart to ensure you know why they should be utterly avoided.

Had a similar story where they refused to fix a recliner which would no longer recline after 3 months. Their reasoning for not fixing was because there were some scratches (minimal) on the back outer/ corner of the recliner where my cat decided made a good scratching post

The Rep is pretty quiet 🤫

Neg for the reasons outlined above. I hate my Amart sofa, it's sagging really badly. Garbage quality.

      family and friends

True family and friends wouldn't recommend them.

Also they share your personal details with third parties

    Lol

  • +2

If they’re so horrible why are they still allowed to post on here?

  • Would already reduced items be further 40% off? @KaylaF

    • -6

Hi mhc, if the item is under the min 40% (e.g. 10% off) then the discount will be raised to be min 40% off. Hope that helps clarify :-)

      • +7

        So that’s a “no” then.

Any additional discount will not be honoured.

        Like their warranty…

          • @totallynotasmurf: Wait until you buy one of their lounges for $2k or more then 6 months later the springs poke through (from very little use) then they try and weasel out of fixing it or offer a small amount of compensation and tell you the 10 year warranty is now over because you accepted the compensation they offered

              • @totallynotasmurf: How's your dishwasher doing?

                  • @totallynotasmurf: No, I just remember your helpful comment on the dishwasher tablet post and was curious.

                    • @Lizard Spock: Was that the one where you put liquid detergent that’s meant for hand washing dishes into a dishwasher? Lol imagine the foam party in the kitchen

        @KaylaF

        Circumlocution

        Meaning:
Using a long, convoluted way of expressing something simple, often to obfuscate or avoid being direct.

      • +1

So if an item is 20% off today, then next week you can only get the item 40% off instead of 60% like it should be

  • How bout 40% off storewide rather than having people to register etc ..?

    • +1

They want your data!!!! it is a click bait.

  • With most of the their previous deals, it will be 40% off their RRP which usually is available every few months anyway, so nothing BIG about that.

  • Amart walked into a lions den today. Amart improve your business practices, I remember as a kid your furniture was much better, now it’s a 3 month wait for a crap lounge assembled in China.

I bet Gerry Harvey knows to not post his wares on OzBargain, he’d get crucified!

  • +2

FYI, you can put any random email to get the code, it just shows up on next screen after entering email

  • I actually like our 'Settler' dining & bedroom furniture (seems to be now called 'CALLAGHAN') from Amart.
It's heavy, solid and no issues in the last 10+ years other than the usual wear and tear that comes from kids using pine-furniture.

However, from memory, all their stuff has regular sales-rotations, at discounts that are likely more than the 40% offered here.

    • How often is it more than 40% for a sofa?

  • Everything is already "discounted" so technically there aren't any further discounts. Whats the point of this?
