MG ZST Vibe MY25 from $22,888 Driveaway, MG3 Excite MY25 from $21,888 Driveaway @ MG

2801

This is THE CHEAPEST brand new SUV available in Australia, being a 2025 model with a 10 year/250000km warranty. MG has reduced the price of this even further, making it a much better value option than the new generation ZS which has increased prices with the base model Excite now from $26990 driveaway.

The Vibe is the second model above the base model (Core) with extra features which are 17” Two-tone machined alloy wheels, 6 speaker sound system, Rain sensing wipers, Front Fog lights and In built satellite navigation.

Standard ZST features:

  • 10.1" touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • 360 degree camera
  • Keyless entry and push button start
  • LED headlights and taillights

The ZST is compatible with 91 unleaded. 95 is NOT needed.

The MG3 has also had it's price reduced to a very low $21,888, making it the cheapest brand new automatic car in 2025. Good option for those looking for a smaller car with lower fuel consumption.

  • Hmm, if the Vibe is $22,888 then how much is the base Core?

Went to a dealership to buy 3 for fleet for a business - drove it and couldn't believe this car passed safety tests.

The core is the same price but they throw in floor mats and a boot mat (LOL)

Anyway - back to the drive… At a roundabout or traffic light - the car WON'T MOVE !

As in… not exaggerating… press accelerator and it simply WON'T MOVE ! I counted around 4 seconds !

I drove the older one with the automatic box and it was fine !

It's like they skimped out on the gearbox but gave it all this other useful stuff - but at the end of the day - no amount of useful stuff will outweigh a car that won't "car".

I have never driven such garbage ever…

I had the exact same experience.

We were excited to test drive as a new $20kish car with 10 years warranty seems like a steal, however when it came time to accelerate from a standing start (roundabout or traffic lights as you mention), it takes multiple seconds to respond.

Definitely a safety issue when trying to enter a roundabout with incoming traffic, and now makes sense why this car is so cheap.

I ended up getting 3x older MG ZS 2023 models for $4k less with the unlimited KM warranty (7 years) so 5 years left. Just do that. I also found a dongle that gives them wireless Android Auto and CarPlay for around $100.

Might only be a 4 speed auto but when you press the accelerator it does what a car should do… moves immediately.

  • I can't find a ANCAP safety rating for the MG ZST (this car on sale).
Does that mean it hasn't been accessed for safety?

  • Going to replace my Toyota this year, thanks OP.

  • I wish the EV versions were this price

    Man this is cheap af

Wonder if they are losing money on these to try get market share from the Japanese and Koreans because with a 10 year warranty these can't be profitable

I'm just about ready to do this because with a $25k budget for a car, dealing with used car people for something more robust is absolute hell. All the more so in my case where I am living in rural South Australia without a car at the moment.

If people in my situation are part of MG's target prospect group, they are on the money.

    • The deal might expire today

      • Is there a link to the service cost? I tried google but it led to an online form.

There are no prices on the website

I doubt a Chinese car is able to last 10 years, the brand either.
