Could be worse, $85K+ for a GR Yaris on stilts (i.e. LBX Morizo RR).
Don't forget six month service interval 😂
And BMW's are the paragon's of reliable performance and longevity? Does it come with indicators though?
@SetTheFaqUp: Except when you are having fun with them, they give up the ghost. They give up the ghost even when you baby them
@dealsucker: I would rate them higher than an Alfa (which their RWDs are also rather fun to drive).
That's why a Toyota should be kept as a spare car for day to day. :)
Yeah your V8 pushes more power than a 3-cyl 1.6L. What an achievement?
@Far Cough: My Kona N and T-roc R SUVs aren't shabby when they're driven. What wheels do you own dude
25 years ago, someone would have said oh wow a 540i for $250k (adjusted for inflation)and barely has 300hp and looks like a generic sedan…. Pass.
A Tesla model y rear well drive have that for way less 😂
@MDSUXKS: What a toxic thread of comments this is… (Not directed specifically at you… Just all of you)
having owned many old bmws what a stupid comment, tell us the model, and then tell us your maintenance costs after actually fixing all the issues,
the costs of fixing the brittle plastic cooling system, cam shaft position sensors, rear main seal, valve cover, cv boots cracking etc, thats before you get into dead pixel land of the interior broken electric seats, if its a v8 the zf transmission would be slipping around by now, timing chain guides, valve stem guides
bmw hasnt made a reliable v8 for the last 25 years period.@foolsgold: Other than the rear main seal, everything was documented and repaired prior to me buying it.
i did a bunch of things that I wanted to change, new brakes, calipers and discs, new key, fuel filter, lci steering wheel, rear camera install and a few other random things, I'm prob $2.5k in
I was excited about LBX Morizo RR until I see the price. Not worth it.
Especially when it's auto only in Aus and overseas markets get the option of a manual.
lol no deal here
but how else can you easily show your neighbors and friends that your doing so well in life financially (and in debt) , yet make poor choices?
Weird mindset
Weird mindset
I know, but some people think they need to show that their wealthy, when a Yaris Cross would get them effectively the same car for less $
(I'm aware your comment was aimed at mine, but at least this way you have plausible deniability)
@Stealtho: Yeah lol my neighbour doesn’t give a fk what car anyone drives lol. I wonder where he lives
A Range Rover evoque?
Anything but a range rover evoque. Its literal junk
That Indian shite?
Why?
I do that by buying a new model Tesla every 6 months.
A GLA200 is similar price. What price do you expect from a new luxury small SUV?
🤯
Mate A luxurious yaris mate heaps odlf space and an amazing engine. You can buy a ex5 and have money to travel around with the spare cash haha
Citrine Flare (bright yellow) is at $52,835
LoL… Let these brands die and rot in the arrogance they live in…
You mean one of the most reliable car brands in the world?
Asuch as I hate Toyota, they're like Nintendo. Overpriced yet people flock to buy their ahit
"Small" is an understatement. The NX is small.
NX is small
Don't you mean UX? NX is a RAV4 in disguise, hardly small.
No, I mean NX. NX (and RAV4) are considered compact SUVs. The UX is sub-compact. I don't know what you'd even call the LBX.
Micro
Perfect for my wife on roadtrips with her boyfriend.
You wanna spend 54K for that?
I doubt she'd give him a choice.
Zeekr 7x performance costs $79618 NSW DA. Even the base model costs $63868 DA
taxpayer's will fund the rest
In 3yrs the Lexus will be worth more though, 'effectively' you'd better enjoy those years bud. The Zeekr looks nice but damn, EVs are all already tanking, the flooding of more and more options will produce bargains in the coming years.
You mean Toyota copied Toyota? Wow, that’s surprising…
If i am paying a premium just for the badge, i expect something different. But i guess thats the trend nowadays, the infotainment in a lambo is the same as an audi as well.
Ferrari, Bugatti and Lamborghini have always used parts from other cars, even when they were independent.
It is a Toyota though!
not really a surprise, since this is a Toyota
Decent size screen (not too big or small), doesn't protrude from the dash (integrated), physical climate controls below, responsive UI that doesn't get in the way of phone mirroring, etc.
About time we saw a decent offer here.
the good ol
ToyotaLexus taxIt isnt a bad deal these unlike a lot of other luxury brands hold value and are very realiable
Exactly right and Lexus aftersales service is really good. I got a warranty replacement 2 years after my warranty expired. As long as you service it at Lexus, they look after you really well.
These day people prefer a chinese brand that will be worth zero in 5 years because the infotainment screen is 1 inch too small in the Toyota/lexus.
So much hate for Japanese engineering
No different from a Tiguan dressed up in a Q3 shellTiguan is most closely related to a Q5.
Yep, and a piece of absolute garbage according to reliability and problems statistics.
Not so much the engineering, its more slapping a sticker and some leather trim and adding 30k to the price.
In fairness this is probably the same as a crolla cross which cost starts from 42k i mean the extra 10k gets you the Lexus badge and the leather
Nah it’s the yaris cross which starts at 35k, the UX would be the Corolla cross.
Ev like smoothness hehe
Nobody buying dino juice after they feel electrons.Am yet to test drive an electric car. Damn.
Everyone said that 5 years ago, it really didn't pan out that way, get with the times.
get with the times
An ironic comment when talking about to ICE cars.
Yeah, that was kind of the point.
Lexus spent so much time and money getting the LS to feel like it doesn't have an engine, EVs ended it overnight. They don't all ride like an LS but can if they're tuned as such.
Toyota/Lexus theft are rising. They're getting easier to steal via CAN bus injection, and it appears Toyota isn't taking this seriously.
Video Source: Paul Maric via CarExpert
They get business from theft, so im not surprised they are not lifting a figure, especially in Australia
I really liked this car when I checked it out. But I don't think I could live with the electronic door latches. Strangely Tesla seems to have killed enough people with them that authorities around the world are starting to legislate them out and manufacturers are listening.
After the recent Toyota/Lexus hacking and stealing madness, I've lost faith in this brand. Especially how slow they are in fixing the problem and quick to blame the gov. Owners of expensive cars like Prado, LC300 are left in limbo, while the risks remain for every other owners out there.
Damn, sounds scary!
RRP is a deal now?
Agreed. What’s the discount?
Ikr. They also jacked the price up 3k compared to a few months ago since two tone is now an optional add on instead of being free
Premium pricing but by far the most reliable car brand i've driven
This is closer to a Toyota than a Lexus
Could’ve easily rebadged it as a Yaris cross hybrid and it’d be $45k
But chuck a Lexus badge on it and suddenly let’s all charge $60k
No wonder they’re not selling
Glorified Yaris Cross Checked this out a month ago - at least Yaris Cross Urban is 11k cheaper on the road and the 2WD has a temp spare tyre rather than a tyre repair kit
Still waiting on an ozbargain deal for a new Lambo lol
Just buy the jolion and in 7 years buy another and have 14 years of car for same price
That’s good for the environment
It is :)
If people actually cared about the environment the wouldn't even drive.
Some people don’t have a choice.
That's a lot of pain and suffering to have to put up with a clunky Chinese car…
Lol
If anything the Jolions are proving to be the Toyotas of the Chinese vehicle fleet.
Yes but i didnt feel the need to try fight them on it

55k for a yaris cross?
lol no deal here
