    Thanks! stocked up!

Obligatory comment: go for "100% Whey" rather than "High Protein" powder. The former is much better (and better value).

      This is the whey…

    • +1

And actually higher in protein per 100g than the "high protein" . Marketing eh.

Holding out for AminoZ's next offer….

Should be in 2 days for their birthday, going off history

      • Jay replied to a recent comment on their last deal and it sounded like there might not be a deal imminent. I was waiting for one too but just had to bite the bullet and grab a couple bags to get me through a while.

    • do they add sucralose to their protein mixes?
Upd. checked their few flavors and they use Sweetener (Thaumatin). Might try it..

AminoZ sells only WPI. This product, however, is a WPC+WPI blend, which may be better for someone who isn't working out regularly. WPC has a slower release compared to WPI, making it easier on the liver and kidneys.

    • Why Aminoz? why not https://www.vpa.com.au/. They claim no1 protein powder in Australia.

        Price

        • lots of reasons but this’s a good one

  • Showing online too.

  • as a complete beginner, this is good for how long ?

    • from my experience, if you use the provided scoop that is a bit heaped, it should be about the suggested 27 servings. It will last you 27 days if you have one serving a day.

      • Is that all? I thought it would last for months…do people actually take one each day or just whenever they finish a workout? If I do 3 sessions / week it should last 9 weeks?

        • +1

If you're attempting to build muscle the common recommendation is to have 2.2g of protein per kg (1g per pound) of target bodyweight. You don't need protein powder at all or can go lower on it if you're getting enough total protein from whole foods. Most people typically take 1 or 2 scoops per day.

Post-workout protein shake isn't necessary but try not to go too long 6+ hours (except for sleep) without some protein.

        • It all comes down to your goals. During my bulking phase, I would have 200g of protein a day and need 2 servings to reach my goal in a day. Now I'm doing a cut and I can reach my goal of 130g of protein most days without taking whey.

Whey blend. Better off waiting for Aminoz or 100% WPI deals imo.

    • Why Aminoz? why not https://www.vpa.com.au/. They claim no1 protein powder in Australia.

      • because aminoz are aussie, they give great customer service and do great ozb exclusive deals.

        questions..?

        • VPA is aussie too.

            @Vish36: so’s musashi

            how about because reasons

            • @0jay: Give me the reasons

              • @Vish36:

                Give me the reasons

kind of an asshat tone there, cowbye

how about you do a search on an old aminoz deal and read through what are usually several pages of comments and interactions between aminoz staff and happy customers, then compare the price in the deal as against the price of the company you're shilling for

                • @0jay: Thanks for the reasons, makes sense.

Should I drink protein powder everyday?

      • +2

Aminoz have great Ozbargain deals, search for recent and compare to this deal.

Note, the 2kg 100% Whey often goes on sale. Purchased for $58 from chemist warehouse about six months ago.

  • No offense but these are all WPCs, which I was told are not the best for serious bodybuilding!!

    • What about for uncommitted bodybuilders?

      • yeh once folks are committed they lose muscle mass pretty fast, particularly if they on antipsychotics (it's called metabolic syndrome)

      • WPC less filtered, hence cheaper.
If you are lactose intolerant and getting the runs, cost more in the long run.
