    Lol.

Reminds of of those facebook marketplace posts.

Phone as brand new, just a few cracks on screen

    • +27

Brand new condition, just the screen had burns and touch doesn't work. Otherwise , it'sbrand new and flawless.
      Always well taken care of.

    • +9

Almost as good as the ones that say

Display is bad. No idea whats wrong, but it should be an easy fix for someone who knows what they're doing.

So you are selling broken shit, for hundreds of dollars. You don't know the cause but you are sure it's going to be easy? Straight delulu, all of them

      • +10

Was working great until today it just turned off and wont charge. Otherwise in brand new condition with no scratches or marks. Should be an easy fix, but i have no time to fix because im leaving the country next week. My loss is your gain

  • +1

    That battery health though.

    • I have the original Galaxy Tab S 10.4 (2014), still on the original battery.

Screen on time is about 4 hours.

  • +1

    how much ram?

    • -4

First result Googling "Samsung Tab S6 ram" = 8GB.

      • +6

GSMarena has it listed as 4-8GB ram.

and looking further it seems like
        64gb rom = 4gb ram
        128gb rom = 6gb ram
        256gb rom = 8gb ram

        so not sure.

        • +4

          I stand corrected. Sorry.

  • These are 6 years old right?
    2019

    • +33

Wait, 2019, is 6 years ago?

      • Back in the days when Y2K COVID was a thing.

        • +1

A year before covid. The good old cheap days

      • Depends on the month.

    • Also worth noting that Tab S6 can only be upgraded to Android 12 (One UI 4.0).

      • Or you can flash any treble enabled GSI Rom to it. Source: my Tab S6 flashed over the weekend with LineageOS 22.1 (Android 15) after two years on PixelExperience (Android 13).

There are far better Roms out there that don't have the lag of Samsung's OneUI.

Sorry but for 10-20 bucks more, buy the lenovo tab m8 when it's on sale.

    • +3

I got excited for a second there thinking you had found a cheap oled tablet like the tab s6. Looked up specs on the Lenovo and even on special that doesn’t seem any better than a nexus 7 second generation from 2013.

      • In the context of tablet, quad core is a bit old. Quad core in a router would be a nice spec.

        • +2

That mediatek SoC in the Lenovo is based on the ancient budget cortex a53. They used those cores in old budget SoCs back over a decade ago, snapdragon 200. Sure they have upped the clock speed since but still awful. I can’t see it being too much better than the snapdragon 600 in the nexus. If it is in fact better. You can’t really expect much for $1xx. You can really only expect trash at that price.

          • @Ronnnie: Galaxy tab s6 is using Snapdragon 855, not 6xx.

            • @fatice: I thought you were referring to the nexus 7 I mentioned in the post. The snapdragon 855 is utilising a more modern architecture in its SoC processor than the mtk one in the cheap Lenovo. so no comparison.

  • Looking to get a tablet just to display powerpal app all day by mounting on fridge.

  • +5

1600 x 2560 pixels AMOLED, 6GB , Snapdragon 855. Nice. A pity the replacement screens cost >$300 just for the part.

For $99, i'm sure its OK in dark mode.

Display suffers severe flicker issue with 240hz always on PWM.

  • +1

Wow I actually have this, no scratches or anything. It's okay but definitely fallen behind the times

    • definitely fallen behind the times

      in what way(s)?

  • Great for an adventure bike gps with your favourite mapping apps. Im still using my tab s which was the first of them.

    • Great for a rock climbing or kayaking adventure

  • +2

    Is this post for real?

    • -2

Why not? Not much different from refurbushed laptops or what not.

  • +2

Would this be a good tablet to put in e-waste immediately?

    • +1

why if you can still trade this in for the next Samsung pre-order deal. it's valued at $60 as of today, well, if it's fully functional that is lol

      • +1

Question is, will it still be eligible by the next trade in.

    • +3

why would you do that? I don't get the hate…

(I am still using the original Galaxy Tab S 10.5 from 2014. These S series tablets (and phones) last!)

      • +2

Because people here want the latest and greatest. I have an old tab S5e, worse than this spec wise but still does everything I want from it. Nice display, nice speakers, runs all the multimedia apps that I used fine and even can run emulation for gaming. I see no need to replace it yet. But each to their own, if people want to spend ~$1000 to get the newest oled display Samsung tablet. Then so be it

        • Because people here want the latest and greatest.

Since when? I thought we are after bargains… We see cheap phones here all the time (Motorolas for example), or older flagship phones from Apple and Samsung which are now bargains. They are not the latest and greatest, but simple bargains.

Comes with GPS, ideal for car or door camera.

Do you have any without burn-in, and how much would they be?

    • +3

Hi we do have some available on our website listed at $229

      • do you have specials for them?

        • No sorry, we don't get too many of these in so probably won't be one in the future.

    • +5

      dont downvote for that breh

  • +1

How did these get burn ins, OP? Were these display models?

(I have the original OG Galaxy Tab S 10.5 from 2014, and it has no burn in…)

  • How to choose the color of the tablet?

    • We only have the blue colour left in stock

  • I like how it has been 15 years since the galaxy S with the amoled screen but the burn in issue never went away.

    • I think burn in is inevitable for OLEDs if you don't periodically turn the screen off or refresh it. The display models used to be riddled with burn ins (but I don't see any with burn ins anymore in stores, so I guess it's improved somehow… Probably with screensavers)… Which is why I'm wondering how these tablets were used (my question the OP of the deal).

Have the screen timeout ON, and you'll be fine. Testament: my OG Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (from 2014) has no burn in. My Galaxy S10 (phone) is fine too.

The good thing about these is you could plug them into a monitor and use them for DeX. You could do something like this with it. https://youtu.be/lH8_uoduglk?si=CezMXkLwm7PkRaX2

    • DeX is so underrated. I use it every now and again when I am out and about (eg hotels, Airbnb - connect phone to tv to watch movies), but it can easily replace a laptop for most users.

I didn't realise this was now OzEbay for selling second hand damaged goods.

    • +1

Still way better than the actual ewaste brand new tablets at this price…

    • "Refurbished" grade C

  • +3

+1 for OP very happy with value considering condition is very good other than burn-in which isn't too distracting

mine appears to have had a bright white bar over all the top inch with a circle on the top left having caused the burn-in but thankfully it's faint

    hopefully others were as lucky?

    • +4

I took the gamble and bought one as well. Yeah I might have been lucky too. The condition is excellent. The battery life is great and the screen burn isn’t really an issue on my unit. Only really noticeable if you look for it on a bright white screen. The screen on my unit is still way better than the cheap brand new tablets for more than this.

I mainly bought it to use with dex mode. Not really for tablet use, but have been blown away by the condition and how good the display is. So I’ll continue to use it as a tablet too. Really for $99, even used you be hard pressed to find better performing hardware.

      • +4

I bought one and it arrived in great condition too… The GF wanted one also so ordered another - that one came with bad screen burn and the screen hanging off / bent chassis! - just replied back to see what they can do about it - I expected screen burn, but the other damage I can't really live with unless ultra cheap!

Edit - They replied and advised they would give me a refund / let me have the tablet - all good!!
