Cooler Master GM34-CWQ2 34" 3440x1440 165Hz VA QD Curved Monitor $379 + Delivery ($0 to Metro/ MEL C&C/ In-Store) @ Scorptec

550

Excellent value for what's on offer here: 34 inch Ultrawide, Quantum Dot, Freesync Premium (G-SYNC compatible), KVM Switch, HDR, 180Hz (with OC) and USB-C (DP Alt Mode/65W PD.

Would be hard to find these specs at a similar price. It has a VA panel, but ghosting very minimal on this model. Here are some reviews:

Still damn cheap for an ultra wide. Wouldn’t trust this as a proper HDR monitor though, but can’t complain at this price.

  • Now that I know about QDLED and Mini-led monitors and TVs, I'm in the market for one of these.

I wonder how is this compared to the AOC Q27G3XMN? Though that's not as readily available and higher priced.

  • How's it vs the Samsung LC34G55TWWEXXY ?

    Can't decide what to get.

    • I just picked up the LG 34BP65C-B 34" UltraWide QHD VA 1ms 160Hz Curved Monitor, so would be good if we can compare this too please

realistically, its much of a muchness since scroptec's 180HZ is only if you overclock it

  • Given this comes with a stand is 165hz, I'd say it's well worth it compared to the refurbished Dell 60hz monitors that were a decent deal at $189.

looks like performs even better than the newer S3422DWG as well

Since when do Cooler Master make monitors?

    • +4

They don't. Just like kogan don't. It's just a rebadged generic monitor.

Why alienware cost like 4 times?

  • Bought one of these on Friday - they had to get it in to their warehouse from the supplier at the time, but should be delivered tomorrow.

  • Is this monitor good for coding?

    • +2

Nah for coding you have to spend at least 1K on a 42" C4 OLED, nothing else will do.

      • +3

Damn, I'll have to abandon my plan to learn coding. Can't afford one of these.

      • Can you explain why you need OLED for coding?

        • Was sarcasm, sorry. Any panel type is fine

  • Looking for a 27 inch 1440p and came across this one

For 250 would someone recommend it? Or should I pay another 100 and get this one?

do you ever use a computer monitor for work? that first one is easy to claim as it is under $300

  • +2

Seems it has a KVM switch inbuilt too. Solid monitor for the price, seems very hard to beat.

    Testing my resolve!

    • +1

FWIW the KVM switch is essentially between the normal USB A port and the USB C port, so only good if you have something capable of utilising the USB C up.

Placed an order, pretty much the cheapest ultrawide with USB-C power delivery I could find this week

  • +5

The fact this has a USB-C with power delivery an additional USB ports makes for a good integrated docking station for work purposes. And it has a KVM switch? Has anyone played with this much?

I purchased one of these about 6 months ago for $550 which I thought was a good deal at the time. For this price its a steal. I use it for combined gaming & WFH setup and I can't fault it. The built in KVM and PD USB C port are great with a MBP and desktop, have cut down the cables I need by like half. I was hesitant at first being a VA panel but after doing some research and using it myself the ghosting is almost not existent. Was hard pressed finding anything even close to feature parity at the same price. Would recommend.

  • How would this go paired with a PS5?

  • How would this fare as a dedicated Sim-Racing Monitor?

  • How does it compare to these which I could find cheaper on Amazon

First one: much rather buy a Cooler Master than a Gawfolk.
Second one: refresh rate is 100Hz compared with 165Hz here.

    • USB-C cable for power/internet to & video from a laptop for example. KVM switch for shared peripherals. Useful features, reduces cables

  • yeah not sure what this ones like but I am blown away by my cooler master gp27u 4K 160hz mini LED IPS display. well worth the money for sure. with the 98% P3 colour gamma as well its accurate, and REAL HDR at 1200 nits of brightness.

Not sure what purpose your comment serves other than to flex. Your monitor is in a different ballpark.

just sharing my thoughts on my experience with cooler master monitors. they are exceptional.

  • And its gone?

Just purchased one from this seller for $380, just two left…

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/186307236042?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

    • I pulled the trigger, even cheaper than the OP accounting for the free shipping!

Now if next week an LG C4 goes on sale I'll make disgruntled noises and overcommit.

Still appears to be 5 left based on the quantity drop down!

      • Thanks i ordered last night using this link. Looks like shopback has 10% cashback for ebay electronics to potentially stack!

  • dam missed out, any other sellers?
