Sonos Sub Mini $471 (Price Beat Button $466) + Delivery ($0 Uber Local Delivery/ C&C/ in-Store) @ The Good Guys

440

Even since I got the Sonos Ray for $249 from JB Hi-Fi last year, been keeping my eye on a Sonos Sub Mini discount

The Ray definitely needs a sub, so glad I waited

Been using this thing in my home office for a year now. The bass is super clean and tight. I love it!

    • Yeah very good

Yeah I always make sure my subs are clean and tight.

    Prices are falling for Sonos.

HODL'ing for even bigger sales / stacking CB.

    • Thought the $530 I paid last week with free delivery was good! Should have waited!!

  • I'd rather buy the beam gen 2 and try it out without the sub, for most people that should suffice. It's $539 at the moment at GG

I bought it for a similar amount, it went to $470~ ATL a little later but really is necessary to have a soundbar for a TV, really glad I bought it.

Really helps out TV shows, and doing chores etc its fantastic that whilst it doesn't have BT, it can still play spotify via smartwatch/phone, and anything via my Phone [smartview] for chores etc.

Buds/headsets are great to use at times, but not all the time [hygiene/soundstage/sharing the experience].

That said, keen to add to the setup given how plenty online have commented how the Beam gets to shine more in the mids/uppers with the sub-mini taking care of the bass.

      • Beam gen 2 is the best value Sonos soundbar.

    • That's what I'm running - I don't find the need for a sub… Yet… But I still want one!

    • Not sure why you got the down votes, I got the beam 1 it’s fine to run without sub.

      • Most normal users will see a huge upgrade with the gen 2 beam and might not need a sub. Perhaps the downvotes are because they are already invested in beam or arc and want to buy the sub mini..

My key point is you really don't need a sub with the beam for most use cases unless truly invested with high quality sound with low frequency extensions the sub provides. The beam is generally adequate for it and is a huge upgrade anyway.

    • I had the Beam gen 1, and then 2 for years without the sub. But it really did make a huge difference when you increase the volume even slightly.

But the difference between TV audio and the Beam was much bigger.

  • 6 x 6m open living - this or sub gen 3 better suited paired with Sonos arc?

    Cheers

I think most would say the full sub given that space - but tbh I find that the ARC is already pretty good for bass, so I am very much thinking a mini would be sufficient unless you really want to rattle the walls when the Star Destroyer flies over in the opening of Star Wars.

I've 5x6m room with a Sonos arc and sub-mini pretty amazing sound even when you see action movies sounds come from all directions. Im happy with this setup.

      • Open room or closed off?

    • We have a large open living room and Beam 2 + Sub Mini is plenty.

      • Music to my ears - will grab one!

    Thanks OP, grabbed one.

  • I'm still waiting for delivery on mine ordered 28/2/25, despite my local store having stock. Any recommendations on who to contact to get it delivered ASAP?
