Oops! This product is no longer available.

      Bunnings website is actual cancer.

I had this error message and still bought one.

Clear your cart, then set your store, then search for the product, then try to buy it.

      Worked for me.

      • How do you search for the product? It still doesn't show up despite clearing cache, setting store, and manually searching.

I've really come to believe some dev is purposefully screwing with the Bunnings website.

        • +1

Just tried again and it works for me still, but the store I've selected still has stock of it.

Maybe Bunnings won't show you a product if they have no stock of it at your selected store?

While ordering this item I just found out that Bunnings won't deliver to my address anymore, even though I have 8 more months of OnePass free delivery and have had Bunnings deliver to my house before. With Catch shutting down maybe OnePass isn't profitable and they're trying to salvage it?

          Pisses me off.

          • +1

@Joost: No! … I recently rang head office as I could not check out stuff for click and collect, 2 things came up "no stock" … removed those then could not check out, 2 things in my cart were out of stock but their system didn't show that and stalled … the person at head office put me in contact with my local store and a special order was made … FFS … so stupid!

            • +2

@Series4Episode10: Bunnings are so last century with their online ordering process. Nearly all other tool shops offer free delivery to just about anywhere in Aus with a $99 spend.

They need to centralise their online shopping to perhaps some main depots in selected areas Aus wide.

And don't get me started on not being able to use gift cards online…..

        • The result of a monopoly in consumer hardware sadly. Their website could be totally dark for a whole month and it probably wouldn’t even dent their bottom line.

      • +2

They use Oracle backend, much worse than cancer.

      • +4

I think they don't want thousands of people hitting their cheap hosted website for a single product. They want you in their store so you might buy something else. The same reason why you can't use their gift cards online. And lastly, the reason why those cardboard bins around the registers filled with various products and big price labels or none at all sometimes, to make you think they're on special yet almost always products are at Std price, they just want you to impulsively "grab a bargain" on your way out.

I see it for what it is, but I also see Bunnings for how painless returns and warranty are. Not just to the chain but to the people who work there. You're not treated as if you're trying to scam them or looking for the fine print to deny you or even judge you - it's simply just another transaction.

For me those positive qualities, in a retail space where customer service is dying very rapidly, far outweigh the odd inconveniences.

FYI: I can't get the products to show, about to grab my laptop and jump on VPN and head straight to bunnings website for a manual kroduxh lookup via stepping through the menus. If I don't return, it didn't work!

        • I get it, and see your points. But considering that they modelled their whole setup on Home Depot in the USA, they are literally decades behind with the online shopping experience.

I have never actually had to return anything, but by all reasonable accounts, it is quite easy. The only time I used a price beat was also very easy.

I have also only had positive interactions with staff with online and in-store purchases.

When I was still working, we used avoid going to Bunnings outside our working hours like the plague. It was typically a convenience to grab something we needed or wanted if they had it, as they were closer than the specialty wholesalers or tool shops we would normally buy from.

And to this day, I still won't shop there in person unless I absolutely have to. Main reasons, my car is an extreme petrol guzzler, I don't like crowds, checkout lines, and the free delivery with OnePass so far has suited me just fine. Plus I have become lazy in my old age, lol.

So personally for myself, I just prefer to buy from them online. And I am not much, and never have been one for wandering around any shop at all. I rarely impulse buy, and typically buying anything is just straight in, buy it, and straight out.

Perhaps I don't fit their target demographic, lol. Or more likely just a grumpy old man…..

    Not available in QLD unfortunately

  • +1

Saw these in my local couple of days ago, but they didn't seem to say promotional product on them anywhere so figured it wasn't a 'deal'.

But they're a solid price. Mostly because it appears based on previous posts that the 2.5ah batteries use the same cells as the much higher output 5.2ah batteries. Which makes them a great size/power combination.

  • +9

or, you can grab a 3 pack of 4.0Ah for $99…
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-4-0ah-battery-mult…

    • Site says not available

      • Do the thing above and clear your cart, look at stores near you.

        Definitely in stock around Hobart!*

        • Source. Me. I bought a one of these 20 minutes ago.

Heavier than the new ones but at $33per, I can live with it.

        • I tried to set up sunshine store but still tells me there is no stock. Was hoping to get it delivered to me using one pass.

I own 15 Ozito batteries, but don't own a single Ozito tool. Do I need help?

    • +4

Sorry to be this guy, but yes

    • +1

Yes, that's pathological hoarding, which is typical of Ozbargainers. Just sell them off or chain them together to make something useful.

    • Actually yes. I had to stop myself from buying one of the 3 packs linked above. 🥲

Grab their entry level leafblower and never rake again, IMO.

      • Try the 36v blower.

      • +2

36v jet blower nd the gray mower. Nough said

    • Don't be silly, you are perfect.

    • +1

Send em here, I live off-grid and have an Ozito wet/dry vac which does not last long on a battery, it does do a brilliant job and it sux rool goodly! something I can't say about some of the Other Ozito stuff I bought, those things suck in the bad way! … sadly!

      • The brushless stuff has been good. I have the recip saw, impact wrench and hammer drill.

Some of the brushed ones are pretty basic though.

    • Sorry, couldn't help myself. So you own 15 expensive paper weights, lol.

    • Maybe you can help me then… Do you know what size cells they're using INSIDE the battery these days?
I want to do the math on $/cell. Without getting off the couch 10x18650 or 8x21700 sounds about right but without knowing which it is changes the cost efficiency over a 3pk by quite alot.
I seem to have 8x 20700's that I don't know where they came from exactly… I suspect they were Aldi 18v batteries, because I know it surprised the heck out of me. 20700's weren't heavily produced. So I assumed a batch of different sizes were tested for capacity efficiency, 21700 won, which left a few thousand 20700's which got picked up by a budget brand.
      /end_pure_speculation

      • The (standard) 4Ah Ozito battery in this deal uses 10x 2,000 mAh 18650 cells. Model: MH46259 PI280E.

        The 2.5Ah uses 5x 20650 IXR21/66 MH46259 2.6Ah cells in series. Each cell is rated for 40A.

The 2.5Ah batteries plus charger were $19.98 a while back! Such a great deal for the cells.

      • any of the 18v (or "20v max") tools will be 5 cells or multiple banks of 5 cells.

        4 cells would be 14.4v tools. (4x 3.6v)

    • I have 6 ozito tools including 36v mower, but just 4 batteries (2x 4ah, and 2x 2.5ah and these came in the kit with some tools), should i give up ozb membership?

  • Thanks. Ordered with OnePass delivery from Casula.

  • WA always miss out… 😩

    • +1

Probably worth hitting one of the stock checkers in the OP over the next day or two. Some stock may find its way over there.

      • Agreed. It's a brand new product. My local had craploads of stock. My guess is that it just hasn't landed yet in WA/QLD?

  • +1

@revheadgl Could you also add the 3 pack of 4.0Ah to this deal? It's exceptional value if you are happy with the weight of the older batteries.

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-4-0ah-battery-mult…

Like your deal, availability seems to vary by location. Won't show up on the website for everyone, but is definitely in stock for some.

    • +1

I had already linked to it at the bottom of my post. Will move it to the top. Cheers.

      • Oops - missed that! Thanks for making the change.

  • Any major difference between the newer and older batteries beyond weight reported?

    • I think they maybe talking about the 4.0AH batteries from this previous post. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/889271

Which are now pretty much sold out.

    • Newer and older? Or different capacities? The 2.5ah use completely different cells than the 2ah/4ah, so have a much higher discharge capacity. But the 4ah old and 4ah new appear to be the same so no difference. People have had very positive things to say about the 5.2ah high output batteries, so presumably these 2.5ah would also be very good in that regard (and nice and light!).

    • +1

They're price matching Aldi on the single battery

    • Their whole range makes ZERO sense.
      3x 4Ah $99
      1x 5.2Ah $119 (prev. $129)
      1x 6Ah $139 ($189)
      1x 8Ah $179 ($239)

EDIT: corrected for current prices not 2024 pre Christmas. These are more acceptable.

      • Don't forget the 5.2ah battery with charger is only $99. So confusing.

  • Thanks. I bought the pack and a brushless hedge trimmer as my first Ozito cordless device. I hope I can start replacing my 2-stroke devices, which are >10yo and have started developing faults.

    • +4

The 36V (2 x 18V) jet blower is good thing too. Bought one for a friend, and it's properly powerful. Perhaps worth you looking at as well.

      • Will keep that in mind. I do want a blower vacuum to replace a trusty McCulloch that now has a leaking fuel line. I could swear also its motor is no longer revving to the max.

      • -1

Ozito stuff that sucks or blows seem to be good items, pity not all their stuff is that good! my wet/dry vac is 5yrs old and still goes well and all I use as I live off-grid.

Other of their battery operated stuff has been atrocious! landfilleltdown!

        • Landfill elt down?
          Land fillet down?
          Landfillel Tdown?

          I got it!!

          Landfilled Town!

But what does a town filled with land, likely the case of all towns I can't say for certain, have to do with, well batteries?

Yeh my ozito vac has been treated like absolute horse dung, vacummed up anything and everything to ever hit the floor beaten abused neglected and still, it sux just as good as ever sucked! I literally vacuum my concrete garage floor with it, it loves it. Cost me $89 w/battery who knows how long ago, might ha e actually been one of my first purchases - I was looking for a battery & charger and the cashier pointed out that the vac had both and was $10 cheaper atm and you get a free vac!

        • Not been our experience. We have absolutely thrashed our gear, and the only thing that has given out was the mini chainsaw skin for the pole pruner - the transmission in the head had a plastic gear that gave out. Even then, within the 5 years, so we got a brand new updated skin.

Other than that, pole pruner, drills, lawnmower and most especially the recip saw just keep on rocking (recip saw is on its last legs, but it has been a champion - even then the bit that is failing is the mechanical lock on the blades and not the motor).

          • +1

@EthicsGradient: Oh, no. Plastic and gearbox shouldn't be in the same sentence let alone In production! Is that an external part you can see or did you get a. report back or? Sorry I'm not familiar with the garden type equipment, and never held a chainsaw lol.

Likewise for me, but I've never user any of their mainline hand tools, drills, grinder etc. I'll have a tough decision soon to come in replacing my 7yo impact driver. Do I stay faithful to a product I borderline worshipped, and spent twice the pride I originally paid, or divert my allegiance to the rising Ozito. I own 4 different pairs of Ryobi socks, which is only the tip of the iceberg of faith I had, but I can't justify the consumerism path they took. - 4different products that all do the same thing but with bigger price tags. Batteries, despite coming down in price at the cell level, have risen in price, deals are few and far between and when there is, the margin is inconsequential. On the other hand….

My partner won't let me replace the lawnmower (but I refuse to pay the Ryobi 36v Mower Kit on special entry price for slightly higher capacity batteries on the ozito every 2-3yrs). I hate that the one thing we actually rely upon, is the most inefficiently priced product to operate because of their ludicrously high, high performance/capacity batteries.

Their battery LineUp is great unless you want real power, or lengthy runtime (or a mix of both). 12Ah worth of batteries, for the same price of ONE 5.2Ah on special. 13Ah for the regular price product. Forget about ever owning a 6 or 8Ah Ozito.

I already have more Ozito batteries than Ryobi, and haven't purchased a new Ryobi battery in… 3-4yrs. I've still got my original batteries, so there's about 6 batteries that should be dead already, and could be any day - would I actually replace them with Ryobi products. The answer is no!…and 1 more. Ryobi gripe, I bought the magnetic tray system that slots onto the base of the drills (now clearance, possibly because:), and it doesn't even fit on my One+ drills, and when you scan the compatible products barcode you're taken to a ryobi accessories page! Too busy coming up with the latest gimmick or unnecessary feature (One+ AI anyone?, that they're missing the basics that made them so iconic to begin with. I wouldn't recommend Ryobi 18v system to anyone. Ozito for the occasional to semi regular moderate level usage, AEG, DeWalt, Makita (and try to keep a purchase when they have rebate offers) for the regular enthusiast with high demands or expendable commercial

I'll be off for a long drive tomorrow to stock up for the day when my yellow filled garage turns red, and instead of forking out for the LINK system I wanted terribly, I'll buy a $70 7-slot wireframe tool holder that'll do the job and take up 70% less space!

  • +1

Just picked up from Eltham (Victoria). They had 20 in stock when I was there. They also had plenty of the 3 pack battery for 99$ as @Veedub mentioned (https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-4-0ah-battery-mult…).

  • Has there been any recent luck online?

    • I keep getting "Oops! This product is no longer available"

According to the stock checker links above my store has plenty of stock of both deals. CBF going there to check/get it.

  • Has anyone in WA managed to do a Onepass delivery from other states with stock?

  • +1

Isnt the best value the x3 pack if you already have the chargers? If you dont need a charger, I dont know what the use is for the smaller batteries as the 4.0mah is the lowest I would go for most things they don't last that long.

    • +1

I keep 2/2.5/3Ah batteries in most it my drill/driver/impact tools - definitely can save a sore triceps muscle, or lats (when working overhead) the following day from from weightlifting. I bought my partner the 10mm driver & battery kit at Xmas purely for her use to make it lighter again, and so that when I need to us my tools, I don't have to go. Find where she's left it laying around the house. Tools have a specific space in a man's life, it's an equalibrium that shouldn't be interfered with! Lol..

  • +1

Got it today at Mt Barker, SA.
That swang my decision towards Ozito 36V leaf blower.
3pack is best value, but I needed chargers as well.

  • Can confirm I managel to lose $150 in gift cards and $150 store credit (held together with a green bulldog clip & if sighted tell me what you bought so I may live vicariously through you during this rough time) and as such, I must be punished and will be participating in this sale, the next, or the one after than…. in addition to really, REALLY pissed!

I had stock to return. On the way I filled the passengers seat with coke and promptly pulled over and towled down each receipt carefully. I believe that ocation were their final resting place under my possession.

In the time pulled over, I saved $25 by not going to bunnings that day, where I [s]MAY[/s] definitely would have realised they were gone in time to return and save them most likely I've torn my house to shreds they're not here.

  • +2

Just an FYI for everyone in QLD. There appears to now be stock of this kit in most QLD stores. According to the stock checker.

    • Thanks, description changed to reflect that.

  • +1

Now available in WA. Just picked up a set in Maddington WA. Plenty remaining.

    • +1

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Unfortunately I am no longer able to edit the post to reflect that.
