Not many pro reviews out there for this headphone, but the one I found claims these are above average for NC, but not up there with the XM5s, QCs and QC Ultras - among which it is list priced.
Having said that, none of those models has been as cheap as this deal (and the OP may be waiting quite a while for the QC SC to drop to Black Friday price again).
So it depends how much you want the best NC.
These have better features than the basic QCs.
And the review mentions they are lighter in bass than it's rivals, but as nearly all NC BT headphones are bass heavy (there are a few reasons for this) this isn't necessarily a bad point.
For noise cancellation headphones. No one can compare with Sony. I own Bose 45 QC but prefer Sony
…taotronics / randoms from china. I have taotronics I got for $30 about 2 years ago. It was replaced under warranty as the plastic snapped twice and the foam was deformed. Besides that, you can't complain, the noise cancellation is what it is (mask SOME noise, they never mask ALL noise), and it sounds good.
What they don't make up for in noise cancellation, they make up for in price and some more.
So noise cancellation or quality is "not good" or "not bad", compared to "excellent" with the Sonies, but the price is "excellent" whereas the Sony's are "not good".
(This argument can be said for basically all Chinese products so far compared to their Japanese / South Korean / American / Euro competition, China has the price card)
