The 140GB is the cheapest 365 day plan available. Cheapest price the 300GB plan has been in three months since Black Friday, 33% off.

Please note the different expiry and redemption dates of the two offers, and please adjust for the possible wrong time zones:

  • 140GB $119 offer expires 23 March 2025, and the Kogan Mobile voucher must be redeemed by 11:59PM AEDT 30/04/2025.
  • 300GB $159 offer expires 10 March 2025, and the Kogan Mobile voucher must be redeemed by 11:59PM AEST 31/03/2025.

  • can thiz be for existing kogan people or only new

      • +4

I've bought these before and used as a recharge voucher no issue in the past

  • Does anyone know if these are 5G plans? It's not advertised anywhere which would lead me to think they are only 4G.

    • -7

Vodafone don't do 5g. Only testing at this stage. Only available in small group of areas. Kogan don't offer it yet.

      • +9

        Vodafone don't do 5g.

        You mean Kogan?

        • I'm guessing he meant Vodafone because Kogan uses the Vodafone network

    • +1

They claim 5g on the large monthly.

120 GB for 3 months $15/month. Sounds alright actually.

  • +1

The last deal was 120g for $99. The only downsides are no call forwarding and the g are distributed at 10g per month. I find the coverage excellent in Melbourne and at my work in Canterbury it is better than Telstra coverage. Still a good deal.

    • Hi gutwagon,
So it’s limited to 10gic per month , what would happen if I need more data and have used up the 10gic for the month ?

      • +1

I can only talk about the 120g plan I'm on , if you need more g you need to buy extra g once you have used the monthly allowance . 140g plan probably gives you just under 12g per month. Unused g don't carry over to next month. It's a bargain basement plan you can expect too much.

      • The 120GB plan is discontinued. The 300GB plan has the option for 300GB or 25GB per 30 days.

      • @gutwagon probably chose a plan with the option to split the data into 12 chunks and limit per month data usage to that amount.

If it says "FLEX" that usually means all the data is given to you at once and you have to ration it yourself.

So if your usage throughout the year is not consistent, but it averages out to around 140GB at the end, then this flexibility can work for you.

If you're undisciplined and use up all their data at once in a yearly flex plan, then you may have to look elsewhere or use your phone's data settings to warn and/or restrict you from going over a certain amount per month.

        • There was no choice how you got the data with the 120g $99 plan. It suits me fine as I only use 5 or 6 per month. I have not studied how the 140g plan works , I suggest anyone interested should read all the fine print. I have not noticed any improvement in coverage since they joined with Optus. If anything it has gotten worse since 3g shut down.

          • @gutwagon:

I have not noticed any improvement in coverage since they joined with Optus.

The sharing arrangement between Optus and Vodafone is only for regional areas and it is to better compete with Telstra.

If you're in Melbourne, then Optus and Vodafone are still competing against each other for big city customers, along with Telstra.

From their Critical Information page it looks like all Kogan 365 day plans are 4g only.

    • Very useful, thanks for linking.

The unique Kogan Mobile voucher must be redeemed by 11:59PM AEST on 31/03/2025.

  • +3

The 500GB one is also on sale for $199 if you need more data

    • +3

      if you need more data

Wish there were still <100GB annual plans around for <$100 like there used to be.

  • This, or the Lebara deal?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/894893

    • Lebara is cheaper if you could use 10% everyday extra, and then 2000 points, and if you could get a gift card at a cheaper cost.

For me it came down to
      $119 to $107.1 from 10%
      $107.1 to $97.1 from the 2000 points
$97.1 to $67.1 from the Afterpay30 deal, got a gift card.

      So not bad.

  • International calls?

This vodafone deal finishes today and includes 5g

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/891351

After 15% cashback, it works out to be cheaper, with more data and with 5g than the Kogan 300GB $159

Both on the Vodafone network but of rather the 5g option

For people don't need that much data, saving is saving no matter how much it is. For me I can not even use 80g a year, if there is still 100g or 120g for below $100, I will go for it, don't care about those roll over , international call, extra bonus data etc. don't use them anyway. money in the pocket is much better feeling. So it is depend on how much do you need. More is not always better.

      • +1

same boat, which i suspect is by far the majority, but we seem to be a dying breed based on their bs pricing models..

they're milking ppl with data you can't touch unless you're watching streaming services nonstop on the go. i need spotify, or the occasional hotspot meeting when im on the go…

    • (profanity) missed it. still around anywhere?
might jsut do felix which is voda 5g $20m unlimited for 6 months

  • +1

Bought the 139 200g yesterday for mate, this 119 would be better fit. Kogan, you did it again

  • +1

Ordered a Kogan SIM ~13 days ago now, still not here yet and no tracking.

    • I am pretty sure Kogan sent sim cards via regular (snail) mail. Its not like the big 3 who send everything via Startrack.

With that it feels like it depends when Auspost feels like delivery regular mail.

      • Yup definitely the case!
I'm sure they used to arrived within 2-3 days, as there was a time I went few a fair few with overseas guests etc.

        • +1

Post is suppose to be delivery 3 times a week on first week and 2 times the other week in metro locations. But l found mail is bundled together and delivery normally once a week or once a fortnight. The mail also has several different weeks of time stamps.

I wouldn't be surprised if they start removing red post box soon and post offices.

  • Anyone else think they'll run the BOGO offer on the 11th after this offer ends?

    • Just wait for the EOFY sales.

      • Got in last year during BOGO so my plan expires next week.

  • +1

Thanks OP! got this for $99 with $20 welcome back credit they just gave me, was due for a top up soon

  • +1

Expiry date for to use the voucher is 30/04/2025. Shame, got a $20 credit to use expiring on 15/03 to buy anything over $50. If the expiry of the voucher is around June, I might consider buying it.

  • Waiting on Kogan’s 2 for 1 deal usually happen in March around now

  • are all kogan 365 day plans allocating data on a monthly basis? or can you use the data at any point in time you like? Is it different between the 140, 300 or 500GB options?

also, being the network sharing with optus id think that being with voda is actually better than optus because you get the benefits of both works?

    thoughts?

    • I've been with Kogan for ~6-7 years and always had the 'flex' option, where you can use the total data amount however you want over the year.

I think (not 100%) sure that when you buy any of their 365 day plan vouchers, you can choose between monthly and flex options.

      • This is good info. Can anyone confirm?
Ferris if there is a referral bonus drop me ur code or whatever happy to pay it forward

        • +1

          Confirmed: https://imgur.com/a/I16cQCH

The small 365 plan is flex only.

All the other 365 day plans allow you to choose data options (before you pay), eg 300gb or 25gb per month.

Isn't EzySim $119 for 150GB better than this?

    https://ezysim.com.au/product-ultimate-12/

    • Shows as $125 for me when added to cart.

  • Are these 365 days plan 5g or 4g only?

    • I believe 4g but would be good to know??

  • You can use Kogan GCs to buy these right? Who has the best (base) discount right now?

Edit: Bupa and Reward Gateway has 5%. If you have any Prezzee you may also be able to swap for Kogan, same for GCX.

    • +1

Terms and conditions say that GCs can't be used on koganmobile.com.au but the page redirects to checkout on kogan.com so it could work.

    • +1

Yes, you can. I used Kogan gift cards to buy it on kogan.com

      • Can you give pls give more details for using GCs? I don't have Kogan vouchers per se, but 2 x $100 Ultimate Everyone GCs. Can these be exchanged for 2 x $100 Kogan GCs on the Ultimate website, then both applied at check out in one transaction for $119?

  • Kogan is good for service,

but I just personally hate the fact that they make all their mobile vouchers expire so quickly like within 1-3 month only.

I would have genuinely bought it, if the voucher expiry was like at least 1 year from date of purchase.

    • Thats right, I was gonna buy this for June but unfortunately can't due to short activation expiry

  • Just finished but Vodafone had their $320 365 prepaid plan on sale for $180 until midnight. 15% cashback with TCB would have made it $150 for 320GB.

Hi. I am overseas using my Australian phone number on a kogan deal which expires next week.
What is the best way to keep my number alive please? I use local data here. Just wanted to keep my Oz phone number. And I use local sim here and data. Will lose my Australian phone number if I don't recharge?? Thanks in advance.

    • +1

If you dont recharge within a certain period after your current plan expires, you will lose the number. Not sure how long that period is for Kogan.

    • Were you able to use Wifi Calling on Kogan when overseas ?

  • Any idea if Kogan's Wifi Calling works when abroad ? International roaming is not available, interested to know if Wifi Calling works.

    • Apologies. I don't know of kogans WiFi callings. I hotspot from my local simm data . I don't have WiFi at home or in the village. I can try if you advise how to. Thanks

  • Whats Vodaphones coverage like across metro melb? Never used them due to the bad press they have received over the years. My Catch plans are due to expire in about 2 weeks so need new plans.

    • Metro Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat are all very good. Smaller country towns, not so great.

  • Any idea if I could get a refund before activating? I got a 50% offer for amaysim and would rather use that.

  • -1

Personally I stopped purchasing from kogan because they support israel. before i found out i would always buy from the clearance or the daily deals that were really good, i have been using kogan sim for past 2 years and would've already bought this one too but now i have completely boycotted kogan.

only commenting here so people know thats all. not coming here and ordering people to stop buying from kogan of course.

  • ordered two, and they never sent sim cards, support did not respond either to emails either so our phone plans expired now, getting them express post it which they said will take 3-5 business days. not good…

  • I need international calling, which Boost and Amaysim offer (unlimited, to 25 countries). Does Kogan have any such add-on which can enable it?

  • I can see the deal is still available on kogan website, anyone know till when?
