I don't think this is the same plant.
Got it around 1300 from samsung with tradeup .Was posted here recently and with amex offer down to 1200
I picked up an S90C 55inch for $983 delivered in December. That was Samsung education store with some creative code stacking. Super happy with the TV, but I think you'll see better prices than this current deal in the coming months.
This is the lowest it has been and was accessible to everyone: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/893378
$1,777 at Good Guys
$1763 at Bing Lee with code PAYPALFRENZY25
Anyone have thoughts on Samsung only proving 3 years of security updates for TV's, in contrast LG has 5 years. With permanent access to you wifi and a built in mic 3 years seams very short to me. Would you by a phone that only has 3 years of security updates?
While this is a valid point, and people should push manufacturers to do more, the nature of the security updates means that most people will never see a security problem. Major security risks SHOULD all be eliminated, and it's in the company's interest to make sure there's never a report of "hacked TVs leaking your data" because they would lose so many potential customers.
But yes, if you turn this on in 4 years and someone has sniffed your wifi password and is sitting outside your house, they could potentially listen to your microphone.
Ture but I would think hacking a TV mic to listening to conversation and possibly gaining access to steaming accounts would be the least of the problems. If they get hold of a password them access to laptops and security systems etc. would be more of a concern.
Relevant point about security updates and they really should offer 5 years. But the type of person who would hack your T.V and listen in on the microphone is not going to be some script kiddy. It's going to be one the big boy agencies and if it's at that stage your probably toast anyway and no security updates will save you.
Was $1,413 in mid Feb. Not sure why this is a deal.
Is this the same vehicle that was under $1300 last year or is that the s90c?
