This is a new deal and previous ShopBack users who have claimed the previous deal can claim again. However, you only get 1x scratch card of up to $10 cashback this time round

Both my ShopBack accounts are showing the promo again even though I’ve claimed it already. Unsure if the redemption limit has been reset as this wasn’t stated in the previous promo either

    OP Just wondering

    • Where you saw the up to $10 cashback/scratch card?
      I only have the $5 offer (without the up to $10 cashback) under My Promos. It's not in the banner section unlike the previous $5 offer.

    • In the last offer, someone said there was a minimum spend of $1 (after the $5 discount) to get the scratch cards automatically after purchase. Not sure if that was the reason why some members didn't get their scratch cards. GYB didn't mention though.

          I had to do that last time and they sorted it quickly.

          This time around I ensured that I spent at least $1 after the $5 discount and the reward was automatically generated after the purchase.

      It's a instant discount on payment. (i.e. NOT a cashback) The scratch card is on top of discount and it will be a cashback.

    Hi there. Newbie here.

    How do you apply promo before paying with SB Pay? Does it come up on ur phone when you do payment or do you need to activate prior?

      After you scan the QR code at the terminal, at the checkout screen that you see on your ShopBack app, there should be an apply promo button

      Just make sure you have a payment method linked to your Shopback account first. Then when paying at CW ask to pay via Shopback. Press F1 and then 6 on the CW terminal and scan the code with your Shopback app (down the bottom). There you have click ‘apply promo’ and again on the next screen. And then you just swipe (in the app) to pay.

      I haven't had a chance to try but I can't see why not unless CWH have set up their POS to exclude payment for gift cards via ShopBack Pay.

      I don't think they would have done this though as one of the main reasons why they're rolling out ShopBack Pay is so they can reduce card payments via the Visa/MasterCard networks (they currently don't pass on merchant fees associated with card payments and so are trying to reduce this cost to their business).

        Why should they exclude giftcard when their gift card can only be spent at their store? That is a guaranteed spending and not to mention a bonus if ppl forgot to use their gift card.

    Shopback app is so odd. I don't see this promo anywhere, or have an "In Store" tab anywhere. I have to search for Chemist Warehouse, then select a local store. Then I can see a "Promos" tile with $5 off on it. Clicking that then brings up the promo page and a "Pay" barcode scanner button which I assume will then apply the $5 off in store. So many steps when it should just be a tile on the main page or on the Earn More page.

            @tonester: Ok, just worked it out. You have to scroll that section to the right to get more options as everything is completely off-screen!!!

            I've never paid any attention to those before and thought they were just 3 basic buttons there. I can imagine most people would ignore them. Mine just initially say "Play games for $$ / Refer & earn $30 / Gift Cards" so that's all I though there was and it doesn't look like a scrolling menu, just 3 basic buttons. If that's supposed to be a main menu it's a bizarre place to put it in the middle of the page. It should be at the top of the app or at the bottom with the other icons.

            The whole home page is a dogs breakfast and eyesore really, so many things going on, so that tiny strip of basically black on white text gets completely lost, it has almost no visibility.

            The "Pay In Store" section should really be in the bottom menu, as it has higher visibility and is where most people would look for a section. It's basically a part of "Pay" so could replace the "Pay" button, with "Pay" then just being a large tile at the top of the "Pay In Store" page.

            The whole app really just needs a standard top left dropdown menu that lists all the sections so you don't have to scroll around at all.

    Used my $5 today and this particular CW has half of the registers with the newer POS and they don't have the Shopback app for the bar code. The staff member had to take me to a register with the old POS.

    This was a bit of a mission, no one (3 staff members) at my store knew anything about Shopback Pay, so frustrating.

    They need to simplify the process and clue their staff in.

    Finally, a young guy knew what I was talking about and processed my payment, but still think they need to make it easier for both, customers and staff, to process payments via Shopback Pay.

    I tried using it for the first time yesterday, but there was no QR code to scan. The cashier said I needed to select it from the eftpost machine, which she did, and successfully applied a $5 voucher. Moments later, I received the scratched card, which was worth only $0.19. I can see the banner under "In-Store Chemist Warehouse" at the bottom of the list with a misleading title, "$10 Bonus - Guaranteed Cashback." Fine print does clarify that it's "up to $10."

      Worked tonight. Select Apply Promo in the app after scanning the Shopback Pay QR code displayed on the Chemist Warehouse payment terminal.

      Ensure to spend $1 or more after the $5 instant discount to trigger the digital scratchie reward. Otherwise it won't automatically generate and you'll have to contact them about it.

      The reward appeared instantly for me but unfortunately was only worth $0.19 on this occasion. Oh well.
