Jonsbo TK-0 Mini ITX PC Case $79 + Delivery ($0 C&C in VIC/WA) @ PLE Computers

620

A bit of a niche case as it needs you to be pretty precise with component sizes, but IMHO one of the prettiest Mini ITX cases available.

Costs over $150 to get from AliExpress etc. Shipping to NSW and most other states is around $25 so still pretty sharp pricing even with that!

It’s hard to beat the NR200P

    • +3

      Eh.

It's cheap but ugly and ludicrously oversized for Mitx.

      • +1

Current gen CPU and GPU runs too hot and loud for anything smaller than NR200P. I know because I have Louqe Ghost S1 and Dan A4-SFX.

I had to get a NR200P because my Dan A4-SFX + Minisforum BD790i was too loud.

NR200P is definately cheap in term of material. Look is subjective, it is not as nice as Louqe or Dan but it is okay. As for size, the NR200P allows me to build a silent Itx PC

        • +3

2nd to NR200P, perfect for me in terms of size and amount of fans to go in.

        • +1

The Jonsbo allows for more fans and, more importantly, 12/14cm fans. It’d be a lot better at cooling than the Dan A4

          • -1

@freefall101: Current generation CPU and Video card is quite hot these day, I think any recent case would have better cooling than Dan A4. Hence my Dan A4 is in my garage for a while now

        • +2

The loque and Dan are very small ITX cases and you need to pick your components not only by size but by heat output.

I use the Dan and I have my CPU at stock speeds but undervolted to reduce the temps. I have also lapped and used liquid metal.

To me it's a hobby and I enjoyed what I had to do to get the computer working.

          • @CMH: Louqe is better at cooling. I can easily put a Ryzen 9 7900 (12 core) with a Noctua NH-L12 Ghost S1 Edition. CPU never exceeded 80 degree at full load stress test and it is quiet. No playing with fan curve or undervolting.

Dan A4-SFX is a bit more challenging because it is smaller and will only fit the small noctua L9i. Also does not help when I am not keen with water cooling

            • @beefmaster: Yeah, different cases for different needs.

The extremely small size of the Dan worked well for me as for awhile I needed to transport my system around travelling on a semi-permanent basis (a few weeks at a time).

I could have used a laptop, but I prefer my desktop.

Plus it really amazes people when I tell them what I manage to run in there. It is so tight I actually needed custom cables: there's so space for excess cabling, I tried.

But compared to the one posted?

"We put a wood sticker on it so it's fancy now"?

        • +1

It's a 16mm thick piece of hardwood, and the curved glass isn't cheap either.

          Compared to a plastic rectangle.

          • @Merlict: Amazon says wood veneer.

I guess technically, it could be the whole peice of wood is a veneer. Either way I'm equally impressed 🤷

I'd rather have a smaller computer than a random piece of wood stuck to it.

            • +1

@Joost: Can confirm it's a proper thick ass chunk of treated wood. The case looks better in its horizontal orientation with the wood parallel to your desk and the glass up

              • @112r: Interesting. I can see I'm in the minority here 🥲
My case preferences are very much, box with airflow, and then tuck the PC out of sight (out of mind). Under/behind the desk, or in a vented cupboard.

                • @Joost: jonsbo do look great and offer some of the best SFF cases, especially at their price

super stylish but even their mesh ones prioritise style over airflow (ie too much metal) - at least the d31 is like that

nx200m from antec is a nice cheap sff case with heaps of airflow, decent option at 49

                  • @desync: I'm definitely the crazy person here. I don't even like glass windows, seeing the stuff in my computer is too distracting. One it's built, I just want to pretend it's a single object, not a collection of parts.

I have a Pop XL ready to move my pc into when I get around to it.

    • sure can… deepcool ch160 for $69 beats the crap outta it

    • I agree, I got mine as part of a used build off facebook marketplace - didn't realise how much I'd like the tool-less design was until I started changing the odd part here and there.

Jonsbo make nice stuff for the price, but 280mm GPU clearance is pretty limiting.

    • Specs say 230mm?

      • +1

Oop, you are completely right. I was looking at the matx version.

    • 280mm is for the Jonsbo TK-1 MATX size

  • Damn, that's a nice case, makes me wish I still played games and had a reason to upgrade from my 2013 Fractal R4 with i5-3570K and HD 7970.

  • +3

It is really nice looking case but max 230mm gpu is critical.

  • The Jonsbo TK-1 is also an amazing case in white :)

  • bigger brother version TK-1 (mATX MOBO capable) also seems to be on sale for both black & white for $99 @ PLE but seems to be out of stock for VIC. they seems to still take the order for it but no guarantees as for now. Already ordered mine and waiting!

  • TK-3 same price

Edit: It's an atx model nvm

SilverStone SG13 is $49 if you want even smaller, not as good looking.

Why are people buying mini ITX cases? How do you manage to impress your girl when she's over and says she likes em bigger.

    • +8

I’m not sure that there is much overlap between people who buy itx cases and people who have girls over.

      • it's not the size mate it's how you use it

  • really like my jonsbo d31 mesh

they'd have the MATX market on lockdown if cases were more accessible, PLE shipping costs are expensive to eastern states

still worth it, just wish we had some local distributors here in the east
