Highly rated vacuum with mop, with an all-in one docking station. Has all the bells and whistles you would expect from a top of the range vacuum robot, like good navigation (through Lidar and optionally camera), camera obstacle avoidance, usable app (the reviews are not great, but in my experience it's not bad), scheduled cleaning, separate vacuum+mopping with options of leaving the mop pads in the station, mopping after vacuuming or all one etc. Has an automatic cleaning liquid dispenser, and warm air dryer for the mops.

Note that this is integrating with the robot through your Dreame online account and not locally.

Got it some three months back and have no regrets.

PRIVACY WARNING:
- This model requires an online account with Dreame and it does talk back to servers in China. You can not use this model offline. There is no alternative Valetudo firmware for this yet.
- It has an on-board camera and microphone, but the feed and voice commands are disabled by default.

    exact same decision making i'm going through.
    the main reason being i've head Roborock was much better on warranty/support by comparison.
    Pet hair another one for me, will be punishing this robot 3-4 times a day probably.

      Yeah only issue I’ve heard with these is extended support beyond a few years when they stop updates. But also not sure on if it can handle the same step heights as the roborock

    I back-ordered the L10s Pro Ultra Heat for ~$1050 after cashback, which has very similar specs to this L20. Unfortunately the delivery date has been moved twice, from early Feb to early March to early April

  Had this since December 2023 when it first launched, purchased directly from Dreame. I think I paid approx $2100 minus $600 price protection minus $200 cashback so around same price as this but came with a bonus accessory set.

  Current cleaning history:
  34344sqm area cleaned
  74918min of cleaning
  1224 cycles

  Downsides:
  - Doesn't detect dark floors (ie. rubber gym mats). No biggie as it's only a small section that we have this
  - Gets stuck in obstacles at times. Sometimes sucks up paddle pop sticks that my child throws around the house and it gets stuck in the roller and blocks the emptying port. Might be partially my fault as sometimes I don't clean the sensors as often as I should
  - When my dogs shed a lot, I wish it would detect that the canister is full and empty itself more often but it only goes by a certain sqm before it empties
  - Over a few months the map gets a bit warped and it gets stuck more often. I fix this by deleting the current map and let it do a fresh map of the house
  - Mop pads sometimes get scrunched up in the mop holder part but that's partly due to using cheap third party mop pads that don't mount securely to the velcro. I ended up buying some genuine Dreame mop pads from Lazada and it's been great so far
  - When vacuuming carpets, it sometimes gets stuck if you have clothes on the ground (ie. doesn't avoid it sometimes)
  - OEM detergent refills are a rip off but I use the Bissell one from Good Guys and has been working great

  Overall been pretty happy with it. Has saved us having to mop our floors for over a year and has been an absolutely game changer as we have dogs that do a big shed twice a year when the seasons change

    You can adjust this for the mop, but not for the vac it seems. Really annoying.
