Mass market paperback bookset of The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit on Amazon AU via Amazon US.
Saw Wario64 post the deal on Blue sky for US$13.59, our price isn't as great but still cheaper than my pleather set.

I couldn't even get through the first season of Rings of Power sadly.
There were a few good segments, but overall it is all over the place. There is no unifying vision bringing it together as a coherent series. Too much effort went into the humor with achieving the ultimate goal of humor: actually making people laugh. The series needed a better director. My diagnosis is: too many creative (or uncreative) people involved, without a single genius to bring the multifarious threads together.

They would mess it up, evil cannot create. Check out the hobbit graphic novel, adapted by a young Chuck Dixon that holds up very well.
Looks like it might be out of copyright and being mass produced cheaply with cheap paper, print etc. might be worth paying a bit more for a clear version on quality paper.
It's not out of copyright quite yet, they keep extending the law and its now +70 years after Tolkien's death in 1973.
Some countries the first book, The Hobbit, is free use from 1933. But The Lord of the Rings came out over a decade after that.
After the death of Christopher Tolkien and the disgraceful Amazon series it will be better in the public domain, at least then there is a faint chance of someone using the material with a pure heart.
Wish they would make a faithful remake of Tolkiens work in a TV show
