For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

          • @UncleRico: The sale finished a week ago, the prices were still similar and I looked at price history. I guess its up to you if you want to pay more for something for the sake of it, if you are buying then good on you if not I dont know why you would even comment.

            • @drspy00: To correct your misinformation.

I get it, you missed out on the best pricing and you’re unhappy, but the information you’re spouting is incorrect.

Oh, and before you claim that I’m inclined to pay overs for this gear, maybe take a look at my posting and commenting history. You’re bringing a knife - and sour grapes - to a gun fight…

              • @UncleRico: At this point I'm not really sure what you are arguing about.

                • @drspy00: Confirmation bias, apparently.

Don’t be bitter. Just tag Reolink and you’ll be alerted when there’s future live deals so hopefully you can jump in whilst their sale pricing is still active. Happy times will return again…

                • @drspy00: I'm not sure why you've come to an expired deal to complain that it's not at the same price as before. The last sale was the AliExpress Anniversary Sale and easily one of the biggest sales in terms of discounts. I had asked both Reolink and AliExpress to discount these models further.

While the current sale is the usual small sale at the start of each month. It's not sitewide and the discounts are smaller.

                  • @Clear: Because I had the items in my cart this afternoon 5pm, had to go out for something to do with the violent threats we are experiencing and get back an hour later and its doubled, not even allowing me to buy 2. Not buying the cameras for the fun of it and not knowing much about them I didnt click buy, but I didnt know the price was changing within that hour. It was a comment. Had I known that was a sale with a time limit I would have bought, but its a bit hard to know for certain.
