I like mine, I use it as TV speakers in the room, plenty good enough for music over bluetooth, and great sounds for movies and shows.

Good speakers, only downside is that there is no sub output, although not everyone wants a separate sub… but it would have made it a more 'complete' system imo.

These are fantastic speakers. Replaced my 7.1.2 soundbar on primary TV.
At this price point you have so many options for professional studio monitors. Given it's hard to find decent reviews and measurements about these ones, I'd go with the known evils (KRK, Adam, JBL) rather than the unknown evil who also sells terrible low-end speakers.
There are plenty of reviews. Look at z reviews on YouTube. These are not near field, so much better for home stereo /TV. Most studio monitors are terrible unless you are within 1m. They also are very flat for reference.

Bluetooth is very well known and has many good receiving chips available for cheap. Airplay is WiFi based, proprietary tech that sees limited use outside of North America from what I can see.
The better question is: is the music you're trying to play over Airplay such high quality that Bluetooth will hurt it even slightly? We're talking about digital file compression and decompression. Sound can take a huge bashing in this before quality starts deteriorating.Yes Apple Music lossless. Huge difference, mind you I am using kef speakers
You need to understand that you paying here for simplicity and nothing wrong about it as only you're fine with it. But that's actually lots of money for a bluetooth speaker. Few days ago, for $150 less than that I just got Yahamha AS501 amp, B&W monitor speakers and brand new WiiM Mini - if you play that then you realize Edifier bluetooth speaker should cost max $100 before discounts. Just trying to explain to you how much really it is worth it.

No. These aren’t just “bluetooth speakers” - they’re bookshelf speakers that just happen to include bluetooth.
Their price isn’t based on the fact that they have bluetooth, because bluetooth chipsets are dirt cheap. You’re paying for the speaker's specs and sound quality - and for that, they’re great value for money at this price.
I'll enlighten you; "good" is very subjective.
