Seems to be ATL at the Government Portal only. I'm guessing they are clearing stock for the HW-QxxxF 2025 series that they will be releasing in April.

Upon checking out, they might show trade-in but it just come up blank for me after putting in postcode.

Next cheapest is Appliance Central @ $655

Normal Samsung store $799 w/ 10% off via Samsung Pay. Education Store $719. You can ask for a 15% discount code via chat for these two portals but keep in mind they don't stack with the Samsung Pay or whatever discount you might have.

RTINGS review

NOTE: this product cannot be delivered to a number of postcodes in NSW, QLD, VIC and WA (as well as all of TAS and NT).

Are these the ones that randomly bricked lately?

    • +2

Oh I didn't even think you can brick soundbars but yes it does affect this model along with a couple others "The issue has been confirmed to affect the flagship HW-Q990D as well as more affordable soundbars like the HW-Q800D and HW-S801D."

Maybe best to not register it on SmartThings so update don't roll out?

Edit: It seems Samsung have already pulled the botched FW and free repair for everyone affected in the USA, not sure about other country

I'm experiencing this atm with my HW-Q990D

Totally bricked, remote won't work, buttons won't work, can't reset. It basically only turns on and off, and even then, barely.
Apparently it was due to an automatic software update and all sound bars in e-arc mode got stuck and bricked.

Lots of refunds floating around, I think maybe due to supply? There's a facebook page also.

I dropped mine off for repair at the local on Tuesday 3 days ago.

        • Mine wasn't bricked, the screen stopped working while everything else worked. They said it wasn't repairable and replacing it with the Q990F.

    • Yes mine is bricked getting fixed now

  • Seems to be ATL at the Government Portal only.

Didn't realise governments were using Ozbargain to get deals on things.
Can non-governments and individuals access these prices?

If only there was a decent deal for nuclear subs on here!

      • If only there was a decent deal for nuclear subs on here!

I tell you what, if the Nuclear cost only 600bn as projected then that's a great deal. Fact it, it's going to be way more expensive given how most governments handle the projects.

Can confirm deal also available on Corporate Partner Portal

If anyone know of a mounting bracket that piggyback off the extendable TV mount type, please give some recommendation.

Oh forgot to mention, 85" DU7700 can be had for $1,694.35 with discount code available from Samsung Members, with $125 trade-in - any size any brand as long as its working.

    • how much is for DU7700 75"?

  • Does anyone know how this would compare the jbl bar 800? Similiar price on ggc

    • I've compared this in store. JBL has more bass so its better for music. Q800 has more clarity so better for movies.

JBL800 is released in 2023 while this one is 2024.

Also JBL800 is $650 at ApplianceCentral which can be pricematch with JB hifi to make it cheaper if you have JB gift card available

  • I can see the same price in Rewards gateway ERP. Is it a good sound bar ? I have been looking to buy one, could not decide on which one to buy.

Majority of the reviews are OK. It's good value for money for my use case, I just need the bar and sub, don't need surround/satellites as I had no power point to connect those.

Just found out I can save 5% off my first order via ERP too making this $522. Oh well too late to cancel the other one.

      • Is there a voucher applied automatically for first purchase ? This is first time I am using samsung rewards url and I dont see the 5% off. I used samsung rewards from my previous emoloyer, but I dont think that counts with new employer.

        • The 5% auto apply when you check out if its still there for you. I guess its once per account if you can't see it.

  • Brilliant soundbar. I have the Q800B and it has not disappointed.

Extra discount for government employees is legal in Australia?

  • +1

Can stack with Amex Statement Credit deal potentially: spend $500 or more, get $100 back

  • Will wait for HW-QS700F launch instead.
