Limited time deal at Amazon. Seems like a great price if you take a look at the camels. Looks even better when you compare how much other places are selling them. If you can find another item (possibly even just 2 packs of these) you can get another 9% off. I don't think I can get through 960 labels so I ended up getting Edge of Tomorrow Ultimate Collector's Edition in 4K at $28.54 which isn't too bad a price either.

I've never used these labels before but reviews are excellent really at 4.6 out of 5. (325 global ratings). I imagine these will be a good alternative to a label maker. You will need a Laser Printer to use these. I imagine it's easy to get templates to make good labels but I haven't looked into it yet. Has anyone got any experience using these? How are these long term?

10/10 on these! I personally use these as asset stickers, I personally run my own Audio Visual rental company and I print with these!
Paired with ozbargins favourite brother l3230cdw it prints decently! Though colour printing can flake!

Tips, In no order, just putting them in as my brain farts them out

    1. Print ONE AT THE TIME, don't batch print as it can impact quality output as I think it requires the fuser to cool down a bit to achieve the stick.

    2. When preparing, a quick tip is to print on standard paper, then use a bright tourch light and align it with the label to make sure you have alignment done properly! (make sure to get a bright light! Considering these are thiCC you wont be able to get away with a phone flash light!)
To add, make sure you get a few prints done first before getting complacent, ALWAYS do this check EVERY session you wish to print, never trust that after a few hours, it will be the same. Ive personally probably wasted like 50 sheets in my life time (Ive printed a total of about 200+ sheets of these ;)

    3. Make sure your printer is set to its highest colour and quality setting, this is no place to stinge on eco mode! low and slow and best picture will get you the best results! Remember, you're paying by the dollars per page here!

    4. When using these, they won't stick to flexible things, so things like silicone, fabric and stuff that move this is a no go. this is a foil-based label not vynil which can take bends.

    5. I've had situations where smudging happens, in some cases this is GG, this goes with my above top of printing one at a time, giving the fuser a proper chance to fuse to the paper, don't try reprinting over the top, you'll ruin it, never had any success personally.

These are amazing labels! super cheap and give out a professional output that you only find those $10K plus solutions! the fact you can print colour already beats any dymo or brother p touch series so you wont be disappointed!

Good luck to all, hope you don't waste as many pages! :P

    • Thanks for your comments, mate! Really helpful!

Side note : my Brother HL-L3230CDW magenta seems to be leaking all over the pages. Magenta toner everywhere when I clean it out.

Do you reckon it's the toner (I replaced the toner but same problem)?
Or the drum for the Magenta toner?

Gonna be honest with ya, i kinda just replaced the printer xD. Personally I don't do much printer, and if anything my Brother does only labels and the od occasion probably 5-10 pages a month AT MAX!

The last time I had the brother MFC model (I think it was the gen before that one with the scanner) it printed lines etc and I just gave up with it lol. For me personally, it was easier for me to wait for the L3230CDW to go on sale and buy a new one than worry about new toners fusers etc.

        • Also from personal experience, I haven't had good luck on third party toners, I know many here swear by then and also preach to not update etc so that third party toners don't get detected, but for me I haven't had the need to run into that situation ever.

Maybe some tips I can offer from my IT experience in general, I guess if you have access to a air compressor, cleaning the whole entire thing properly, using a brush as well to get every nook and cranny. Outside of that wiping down the fussers and toners with a microfibre cloth to clean them etc I found helped to a certain degree. I don't call myself a printer doctor, but I have made some improvements in the past when I had my fair share of cheap second hand / fixes!

        Good luck!

  • Thanks for sharing, OP.

If printing in a laser printer : do you know if the ink is prone to fading? Assuming it has to do with the printer (not the sticker!).

Also - for outside use, no doubt the sticker will last, but the ink will fade / wash away?!

    • +1

This label can only be printed with a laser printer, it won't work with traditional ink due to printing on foil it will just smudge no matter how long you let it dry for.

Outside use, it wont fade or wash away, unless you have something scratching/abrasing against it frequently. i would say in terms of fading, you'll likely get 2+ years life if it is just sitting outside +, I have some that are still 6 years plus and still look fine and readable

Great deal for this. Great product. Cheaper than buying the bulk direct from Avery

  • the smaller ones 25.4 x 10 mm, 3780 Labels / 20 Sheets are discounted too = $26.19

    • They look super tiny though. Not quite sure what you can fit on those. There is another listing for those at $25.75 here. Not sure what the difference is.

Edit: Also, your listing has some bad reviews suggesting it's not that size, that they are even smaller.

      • wow, those reviews are super bad. thanks for pointing them out

  • In my experience initiative are the same quality and much cheaper than avery. Normal price for a pack is about same as OP. This price is not bad for Avery I guess.

Make sure you're comparing apples with apples - these Avery ones are the Heavy Duty stickers which are extra sticky and are foil based so will be more resilient to damage. I can't see anything similar in the Initiative range of stickers.
