Good deal, however, just an FYI that I paid $1,904 at Good Guys around BF time.

      I paid 1890 šŸ˜†

        Even better!!

      • Jealous! I contemplate of buying from Samsung with my 28 degrees card.

Potentially could claim the difference twice; Samsung price promise + 28 degrees price protection. However, we've recently had a lot of issues with delivery from a variety of companies and dealing with them has been a pain.

      • I paid 1750 in 2022, including free delivery

    • Same

  • How good is it as a daily user?

If you're not mounting it on the wall seems a pointless purchase.

    • +3

As a daily user it is not great as it is really designed to be mounted to the wall to display art. Its contrast and general panel performance is quite poor because of this as it values brightness and the form factor over everything else.

Great as a secondary TV in a room where you want art an occasional TV or if you really dislike how TVs usually look.

Get an OLED, mini LED or, Samsung QLED (not frame) if you want a good panel for TV/Movies.

      • Cheers !

    • +2

I've got it my living room, looks nice and panel is fine to watch on, sure oled is better but for eg sports I find better to watch on this then oled

    • I got the 55 not long ago, I'm not blown away by the art mode, it's still too bright and just looks like art displayed on a TV. It does sit nice and flush though

      • +1

I had the same issue but there is a switch to turn on art mode. In the art selection page, scroll all the way to the bottom where there is a slider for 'art effect'. That should give you what you looking for.

        1. Oil paintings (or textured paintings in general) look more like paintings
        2. There is a art only display setting that you can play around with to make it look just right

I have a 65 and multiple people have been fooled and not realised that it is a tv and not a painting.
Obviously will not work when its too dark in the room because the panel will still emit light.

    • I've got one wall mounted and it's great. I will say that watching normal TV on it is average mainly because so much content on free to air is lucky to be 720p. I really like the TV. Some people have complained about viewing angles but we sit right in front of ours.

    • I have this exact model
Mounted on the wall, it comes with its own mount. Would probably be a bit of a pointless purchase without mounting it
Matte finish is a big improvement from the previous model

  • Good deal.
Sadly 85ā€ is not on deal. Looks like I have to settle for this :)
Is this good in a bright room (tv next to big window)?

    • +1

I bought one to put next to a bright window. Works really well with the matte screen

    • +1

Our 5m long lounge room has a 3.6 x 1.8 window. TV is fine.

  • I went to JBHifi and Good Guys websites to see the price on the 65".. both $1995. But then GG did that popup "buy it now for $1743" .. now that's a decent discount! In case that helps anyone. I have the 2021 version of the 65" and we love it. I'll upgrade it when they are OLED.

      On samsung website; 65" frame+ HW-Q600C Q-Series Soundbar (with 10% code+$100 trade in+10% samsung pay)=$1553.92

      • where do you get the 10% code from?

        • You can get it from Samsung chat if you got any Samsung product.

    • I got the 75 inch for 1679 in 2023. 2022 Version

I've been out of the game for a while, do these TV's insert ads into your own content?

    • don't believe so! but can't confirm

    • Nope

    • +2

I don't know of any TVs that do this?

    • There is a discreet ad on the toolbar but that is all. It's not like coca cola or something more like Samsung and I don't notice it but it did annoy me that they thought they should include it.

  • How does this compare to the 75A300W TCL 75 INCH NXTFRAME QLED Google TV?

Similar 'frame' style from what I can see. Not sure on how they compare in terms of specs.

  • +1

Samsung I've found to have really poor quality control.

I had 4 of these in a commercial environment. Hardly ever got used but 2 of 4 had basic failures and one of the others arrived scratched.

  • Reach out to Samsung for a discount code and compare.
I got 65ā€ Frame for $1100 delivered couple years ago.

  • New 2025 models have just been announced including ā€œproā€ versions.

Decent price, but might be worth investigating the new offerings.

    • yeah the new pro with wireless box seems to be the goat

      • I'm holding out for the 2025 range. They will be mega expensive I fear. But mini led will be awesome.

  • Not 75" but the CanvasTV looks pretty good and runs a bit cheaper and comes with a frame.
If anyone has one would be interested to see how it compares to a Samsung frame.

I’ve got this. Not a fan tbh, wish I got something else.

Pros: the anti-glare is amazing, we get full sun in the arvo and it still displays fine. It also sits really flush on our wall and I like the idea of a seperate box for the av/power that I’ve hidden away in an old 60s record player.

Cons: The Samsung OS is terrible, I’ve disabled the internet on it and bought an Apple TV because it was just such an invasive, unfriendly nightmare. It still does dumb things that I can’t avoid like the massive volume change notification that takes up 1/3 of the screen and it has a massive tanty if a console or device is restarting and it can’t see it for 2 seconds.

Now art mode: our wall just isn’t big enough for the art mode to work, it just looked off. If you’re buying it for this just make sure an at work this size will work on your wall. The worst part is you can’t easily turn it off (Samsung seem to hate good UX), I ended finding a reddit thread that showed me how to enter a secret menu with advance options that turn it into a basic smart TV. Really defeats the purpose of having The Frame in first place but that’s on me.

TL:DR: the software sucks, anti-glare is good,
the art functionality doesn’t suit the size of my wall - think about that first.

  • This is a good TV for home dĆ©cor and to make the room look great. Yet lacks picture customisation options for those who want to tweak settings. The Sony X90L beats it in this regard. We have both. I buy the Samsung again in a heartbeat as it looks good in our living room and the Sony for the home theatre.

One negative is the Samsung doesn’t like soundbars. eArc keeps dropping.

  • I think someone scored a deal on lloyds auction recently.

  • In nsw, click and collect nearest to me is Dubbo :/ anyone know if local stores in Sydney have stock? I will call few around.
