Humm90 Platinum Mastercard: $400 Cashback after $4000 Spend in 60 Days, $9.95/Month Fee ($0 for First 12 Months)

674
400BACK

While searching for a credit card and found this on Finder.

https://www.finder.com.au/credit-cards/humm-credit-cards/hum…

From Finder website:

Offers $400 back, $0 monthly account fees for the first 12 months, long interest-free offers and no foreign transaction fees on purchases.

The humm90 Mastercard offers one of the longest interest-free periods for everyday purchases. It gives you up to 110 days interest-free from the start of each statement period, which is much longer than the 44 or 55 days offered by most other cards. But keep in mind that the 26.3% p.a. purchase rate is much higher than most cards on the market. Exclusive offer: If you’re a new customer, you can currently get $400 back when you apply via Finder by 13 April 2025, use the code 400BACK and spend $4,000 on eligible purchases in the first 60 days.

Seems a decent cashback deal if you are about to go on holidays (and can spend $4K within 60 days) as this has no international transaction fees - instead using the no fx fees CC from Bendigo, Bankwest, etc.

Mod Edit 14/4: Offer extended to 11:59pm AEDT on 27/04/2025

  • i applied and got approved for the card just now. However, it showed monthly fee as $10 and no in the rates and fee schedule that they sent, and no where in the documents that they sent i could find that the monthly fee is waived off for the first month. I have contacted them to clarify.

But anyone else noticed this ?

    • Yes same with me. Got nothing in the documents. Emailed them to clarify.

Bit dodgy - I applied and got approved for the card. However, there is a monthly $10 fee in the credit contract they sent and no mention of the $400 bonus.

    • Same and I've had no reply to my email asking to clarify.

    • Did you use promo code on application?

      • Yeah 100% did

    • Hey mate, have your heard anything from them? I was having the same question and only sent an email to [email protected] this morning.

Haven't heard back at all - sent an email last week. Might just go with another card - too many red flags haha

      • I asked them on chat, they confirmed it will apply

Thank you for the confirmation! I also received a response via email and they confirmed in writing that the waiver of monthly charge was applied for the first 12 months, as well as the 400 cash back promotion.

  • Also I'm yet to receive the card I applied for last weekend… the spend must be made within 60 days of approval, and we're now on day 5 with no way to spend. Could be part of the strategy.

just spend on shopback giveaway, should shave off at least 1k that way.

    • Have you received the card yet or not mate ??

      • +1

Yup, took 5 or 6 days.

Couple of observations: the card got blocked twice in the first 24 hours I was using it (buying gift cards). The first time I got a notification it was blocked, the second time I just had to… guess. When I called up to have a whinge they reactivated it within 15 minutes.

The card doesn't work well on some American websites. There's a Mastercard security check and this card doesn't always pass it. Some of the time it's possible to get around it by paying with PayPal that then draws from the card.

Other than that it's been as expected.

        • Thankyou mate! Appreciate that 😀

  • I applied last night and got approved instantly. I found that if I installed the app on my mobile phone, in the Card section, I can see the 16 digits, expiry month and year, and the CVC code, and I can add it to Apple Pay. I can use Apple Pay to start spending. However, I still had an error when I tried to use the 16 digits to pay for anything online (whether the merchant is Australian or Overseas). Does anyone have this issue? Do I need to call the call centre to activate the card? There is no button to activate anyway in the app.

I also wonder, when the card says there is no FX fee for overseas transactions, how good is the exchange rate?

    • I found the trick. Just need to be patient to wait around 18 hours, then when I log in to the mobile app, there is an option to click the activate button. Once I activate the card, the 16 digits card details can be spent online.

    • @Deepwhale - how did you mange to add card from app to apple wallet as I don't see option at all and only last 4 digits are visible in my case

      • +1

I use the app called 'humm90 AU' (with the logo of a white bird in the black background). When I login there, I see an option to add the card to my apple pay.
I am not sure in your case, but you may want to go online to chat with the customer service staff. They are quite responsive and helpful.
        Thanks.

        • I can't see any option to add to Apple Pay. Only button to activate the card and, when clicked, it popup question if I have received the card or not.

  • Applied last Tuesday and instantly approved. Card hopefully in mail today. Can confirm i am able to use the card details to purchase items online without havent physically activated card

Damn, I got rejected immediately. Their computer must have detected i had many applications in last 6 months.

But the kicker was that I went to apply a Reward card on ANZ immediately and got approved 24hrs later without any problem. Same credit limit.

Really wanted to use this Humm card for my next overseas trip due to no fx fees. Oh well, it's their lost.

    • Quite surprise at the approval process. I got rejected so my partner was applied for one yesterday and got approve within 1hr after submit the 2 pay slips.

  • I notice the promo has extended to 27th April.

    • Thanks mate. Was gonna apply today in between work but this can now wait a few more days ;)

Anyone know if eligible transactions includes Zip repayment? Humm may be more savvy than the usual to BNPL arrangements.

    Has anyone received $400 cashback?

  • Anyone know if Bpay payments count towards eligible spend? TIA!

    • Eligible spending includes most everyday and retail purchases but transactions that aren't eligible include BPAY, cash advances, long-term finance purchases and IKEA card swipe transactions over $250.
