The Red Bull is Schrödinger's F1 car, both the fastest and slowest at the same time. So, you're going to need to buy two.

Careful with the Ferrari, it could be under the stated weight on the package.

    • Technically since these are 2024 cars, it was the W15 not SF-24 that copped an underweight DSQ last year :P

      • +3

In that case it's a smoooooth operatorrrrrrrr

The red bull one is for "18+". Could a 17 yr old not build this car?

    • +11

They just couldn’t handle the energy drink advertising (according to LEGO).

    • +1

Seems to be a marketing strategy.

According to LEGO for Adults Head of Product Gen Cruz, however, that label is only intended to signify that a set has been designed first and foremost with adults in mind – and is therefore no indicator of difficulty. Instead, the LEGO Group is leaving it up to the builder to figure out how complex a particular product may be.

      • +3

No, it's due to laws against advertising energy drinks to minors

    • +3

Do you have to show photo ID when purchasing in-store for this set?

So all the kits are rated PG, except for the Red Bull which is rated R. I think they included Max's gin and tonic in the box.

    • +4

For anyone wondering on the legitimate reason, it basically just comes down to Red Bull only being intended for those 18 and older.

    • +2

Rated PG due to Max’s swearing

Mclaren MP4/4 with Ayrton Senna is $61 with the $10 off newsletter signup

          an aliexpress pitstop

the chinese do what lego wont

    • Expected it to be rated 15+

    • Is it the same size and piece count as these?

  • Was slightly cheaper earlier this morning when the OnePass deal was accidentally turned on as Black Friday.

    • Were you able to buy? Apparently it was only displayed at the cheaper price but the final price was correct. Unable to checkout at cheaper price.
Also these 5 sets are more than the 20% off advertised esp the Ferrari.

      • Managed to get this for $88.96 rather than $111.20. Proof will be in the pudding if it gets delivered.

        • Cool! You must have got in early before they discovered the error. The Ferrari at $25 is the only one closest to the extra 20% off which would have been $24.96 this morning.

  • Amazon to match it?

    • Aston Martin, Mercedes, McLaren & Oracle Red Bull are available at Amazon currently at Target prices.

  • Worth noting that all Lego sets at 20% off, including the 75192 Millennium Falcon

    • +4

Most LEGO sets at 20% off but these 5 are more than 20% off esp the Ferrari. 20% off $39 would have been $31.20.

Keen to buy the large models from aliexpress for these prices. Does anyone have any they can comment on quality of?

  • +3

Looking through this year's catalogue it seems like LEGO has spent their entire franchise budget on F1.

There's what, 5 different, distinct F1 ranges/sizes of cars this year?? Absurd.

      Cost cap breach

      • No penalty.

The Aston Martin needs to go through the pits as Lance Stroll crashed it on the opening lap.

    • And The second red bull car is waiting to finish

  • Anyone else not able to see the OnePass discount, despite being logged in with an active membership?

I can claim the free delivery, but the price isn't reducing from $39..

    • Just tried and I can add each item to cart with the discounted price. I logged into OnePass and not the Target account.

    • Same for me- logged in with onepass account. Did you manage to figure this out?

      • Still can't access the discount so I gave up lol.

        • rip- same for me but I see the price dropped to $31 so may as well i guess!

          • @dr0pbear: I can still add to cart now and get the same prices as per the post. Not sure why it's not showing for some of you.

  • +1

Thanks OP, got 2 for $48.

  • +3

Thanks - Picked up 2 for $42 (used the $10 Newsletter code and paid via discounted gift card)

  • Are these all different parts etc or quite similar builds?

I've ordered the Ferrari & the Mclaren.

    • +1

Here's a comprehensive video of the lot.

  • Target big brand toy sale starts today until 27th April.

  • The Ferrari is sold out, I just tried to purchase a few times and eventually after speaking to someone through Live Chat that's what they told me.

I've just tried with the Red Bull and McLaren and getting the same error message.

Is anyone else having this issue?

    • What's your postcode and is it for delivery or C&C? I can see stock in some stores in NSW. I'm in Perth and there is stock for both C&C and delivery.

  • I was trying for C&C in NSW. Tuggerah Store in particular.

    • I was able to add both cars to cart for C&C or delivery with the Tuggerah store. Here's the screenshot. I also have OnePass. I haven't checked out completely though.

  • +1

Yeah, the error comes when you put in your card details and pay.
My girlfriend tried with the exact same result!
Thanks for trying to help though @trixieb
