How long will the edu email address last for?
I maintained access to mine after doing a tafe course for 12 months.
Basically once you lose student portal access, you lose access to the email.
Do you get a student ID card?
Not for courses taken online.
How long has it been since you did the 12mth course or any course?
The course I did wasn't 12 months. It was 6. I had the portal access for about 12 months after the course finished
You can just do another short course to regain access to the same email

It could be because your account is inactive, try calling them, I did yesterday and they were able to reactivate my account :)

Haha I was wondering the same - even though I have no interest in any of the actual courses.
Yeah can’t fail if you need to present TAFE qualifications to employers in the future (I think transcripts will show all courses you have enrolled at TAFE?)
from the USI website you can export a custom transcript with whatever relevant courses you want.

I managed to enrol with success message, email confirmation, etc but then nothing works. Courses not showing, can't access email address, tools, anything :/

Alright, chatted with them and it turns out I had an old conflicting details account. They managed to merge them and now everythign works as expected. Took a little bit of time but all looking great! Good luck with it!
So managed to fix my issues. Chatted online and they said that error is due to MFA issues. So called them up and talked with their helpdesk who said nothing wrong with that but it was something to do with enrollment instead.
Person i talked too proceeded to say i need a USI number but ended up fixing the issues for me for the time being and progressed the enrollment and gave me my email address.
Initially had some issues logging into the email saying account did not exist, I'm assuming it hadn't synced up yet but just tried again and I'm into my email.
Once she reset the account it prompted me to set up MFA using their PingID app. That will be your issues.
Had to jump through a few hoops to set up but it was all pretty straight forward. (I set every step up as new user new account type of thing)
Got access to the course in the tafeNSW portal it just sits there and you can access it to begin course when ever. When you click on your profile when you are logged into the tafeNSW website it shows you your .edu.au email address.
I used it for what I needed it for all works and all seems to be accepted fine.
You need a USI to activate your student account and access to all Microsoft and Adobe services.
Jumped on live chat and was told I need my USI number addd. Once provided, they said they will issue student number along with other stuff like email address
During enrollment process, after entering my personal details etc, reckons I'm a returning student, and suggests to recover password to proceed. I've done TAFE work previously, but not through NSW..
EDIT: After a live chat and them verifying my details, I didn't have any records and instructed to proceed with making a new account.
For those having access issues and once had an account with NSW TAFE, I had to call the number, 131 601, reactivate my account as it was disabled.
Three of the four courses are 2 hours long, these are just trying to get you to sign up for another REAL course. Okay, you get an email address.
