Join AGL for up to 35,000 Velocity Points, plus a chance to win a $2,000 energy bill credit. When you sign-up you’ll get 20,000 Velocity Points for electricity and 10,000 Velocity Points for gas. WA customers in areas where AGL operates (gas only) can earn up to 12,500 Points over 12 months (10,000 plus another 2,500 after remaining on the plan for 12 months).

This offer is almost identical to the previous ones, but now has an additional drawing for a chance to win energy bill credits.

Earn up to 35,000 bonus Velocity points when you switch your electricity and gas to AGL with the bulk of those points credited within just 45 days of your energy supply commencing. The exact amount of points varies depending on what you sign up for:

• Electricity – 20,000 Velocity points.
• Gas – 10,000 Velocity points.
• Electricity and gas – 30,000 Velocity points.

Additionally, you’ll also receive up to 5,000 Velocity points as an “anniversary bonus” if you remain on the plan for 12 months:

• Electricity – 2,500 Velocity points.
• Gas – 2,500 Velocity points.
• Electricity and gas – 5,000 Velocity points.

If you’re an existing AGL customer, there’s still something for you as well; switch from your existing AGL plan to a Velocity plan and you’ll get 3,000 points for electricity and 3,000 points for gas.

IMPORTANT: Eligibility for Velocity Points: The T&Cs have this key statement: "Eligible Customers will only receive the Velocity Points described in the Velocity Points Table in respect of each qualifying AGL Single Fuel at their supply address, once in any 12-month period."

    Who are you with? Globird jacked up rates dramatically for me in SA so pretty much every other company is cheaper for me right now

    I've not checked what the rates are now. I did this deal last June, so I'm not out of the 12-month period yet to do it again. Expiry is 26 May, so I won't be able to this time. They'll have it again I'm sure as they had it in both May/June and in Nov/Dec last year.

    The deal last year also allowed you to get a $200 welcome credit in VIC (I believe it was just on electricity, not gas). In total, 30k velocity plus $200 credit made it easily worth it. My electricity rates weren't too bad either, but gas wasn't great. I switched to Engie with clearly higher rates, but their $400 welcome credit + econnex $140 cash back made it well worth it.

    For those wanting quick velocity points, this is a good deal. 30k velocity points could be worth $400 depending on how you value them. Everyone has their own value view.
