Dont get me started.
Probably 5 on average in every Reception class I had last year (in one school)
Doesn't help that parents are rushing them into school as fast as they can go…
Not that parents have a whole lot of choice sometimes. School is easy cheaper than childcare, and heaven knows they gotta get back out there earning the dosh to pay for their lifestyleOr to pay their sky high mortgage or rent because because housing affordability keeps falling as more and more people come into the country faster than we can build dwellings for them to live in.
one recommendation
do it in spring and summer
hard in winter. so much washingPut some newspaper down and when they get used to going on that slowly move it outside.
Best answer
‘Jumping up and down in mudddyyy puddlesss’
That has to be a peppa pig quote.
It’s only their most oldest and well known songs in the show 🥹
Ha, I thought this was going to be about training a 2.5 year old dog that OP had just got.
Why do you want an app?
ADATTHS?
Approved
Congrats on the kid, but seriously?
How did kids learn in the days before iPhones?
Pretty sure the blackberry didn't have a toilet training options, and the Nokia 3310 had snake but nothing on to train themHow did kids learn in the days before iPhones?
Kids used to get smacked
Now they get 'ADHD' diagnosis….Parents doctor shop to get various diagnoses so they can zonk their kiddos out on prescription meds.
And get ndis ipads for toilet training apps
ADHD is a real thing though, I was diagnosed at 41 and it's amazing how much it has affected my life negatively. I wasn't a disruptive kid in the classroom and I did get smacked at home for misbehaving. Didn't ever affect this fundamental brain condition I was born with.
Well I grew up using cloth diapers even though we can buy diapers my mum didn't want to waste money and just re washes. Learned potty from a young age. She was just good at reading the tells of an infant who needed to go.
No Mobile phones and just one 35" crt tv. I remember as a 5 year old trying to press the rectangles on the program "meet the press". That was my children a nutshell. Screen time was 20 mins before school and whatever my parents were watching after school.
There should be a baby/kid toilet training conditions provision in the Constitution that will be imposed on future parent/s.
Give us a break. Here am I enjoying my breakfast Muesli and along comes this gem. Didn't help me!!
Pull Ups. A cross between big girls pants and nappies.
Lets her wear them like big girl undies, when she gets the urge she goes to toilet and pulls them down, just like real undies. If she misses, no dramas.
If you have tiles at home, in summer, let her wear long t shirt and no undies. Get her into the habit of taking time to sit down for a tinkle after meals, before/after sleeps etc.
Easier for little one to tinkle if she doesn't have to pull pants down first.
Most important of all though is to teach her how to wipe/clean herself correctly to minimise the chances of her getting a urinary tract infection.
Best app I ever came across was a stop watch which set an alarm every half hour or so to remind me to check if little one needed to tinkle.
.
The term "tinkle" is often used as a euphemism for urination, particularly in informal or playful contexts. It is commonly used in the United States, especially when speaking to or about young children. However, it is generally considered childish and is not typically used by adults in formal situations.
In the U.S., "tinkle" is sometimes used humorously by adults, often in a playful or ironic manner with friends.
While the term is recognized in other English-speaking countries, its usage varies. In Australia and Canada, for instance, it might be understood but is not as commonly used as in the U.S. In other parts of the world, the term might not be recognized or could be considered outdated or quaint.
It's important to note that "tinkle" is not a universally accepted term for urination and its usage can vary widely depending on the context and the region.
No app recommendations but we had a few books that just introduced the idea, that’s what did for us. Once they made the decision they were doing it they learned in no time. We also went to family toilet seat rather than potty and it was super easy and bypasses the whole potty phase.
Everybody Poops might make her feel better about the whole thing.
Isn't that a bit old?
Some people shouldn't be allowed to breed.
Natural selection would normally take care of this, but we have DoCS and Centrelink and Medicare keeping them going long enough that they get a chance to breed and spread their faulty genes.
And yet somehow we still need to cover the shortfall in our natural population with immigration…
need to
Only if you're a corporate interest and want to bribe politicians to help put downward pressure on real wages and upward pressure on profit margins.
Heard of AI chatbots? I can see a list of eight iOS & Android apps
And all over the world, there are 3 month old puppies that have already mastered this.
What other app do u need. FFS.
Why exactly do you want a app for this. I'll be neged for this but maybe get off the phone and see what your kids doing and guide them.
Yes, there is an APP for that.
Go ask your parents!
Seriously??
It is not April 1st is it still?
Stop wearing diapers and it will happen over a 2 week period. Don't need to do anything fancy other than regularly take them to the toilet and have lots of spare clothes. Hopefully you don't own a home with carpet. We did it during a 6 week holiday in Vietnam so it was perfect.
Our second child went to Montessori preschool at 2.5yrs old and they just toilet trained her there for the first week and she was good. I think it helps that the copy the other kids. It was nice not having to deal with it lol.
If you must parent like this.
Just put a mount for a screen in the toilet, they can permanently sit on the toilet and watch the screen.
Was the baby conceived by app also?
According to democrats it isn't a baby until it's birthed outside the womb. 🤷
This isn't the US, keep their shit out of here.
APPS?
For dumb apes maybe.
Ours was 2 when we had a go over a week.
She's 3 now but still has the occasional accident when she's a bit distracted playing or whatever and having too much fun
My boy is fully trained before three due to the pavlovian method. Every time he takes a shit or does a wee I give him a dry frozen strawberry. I constantly ask him if he needs to do. It's all we talk about.
You have to take the nappy off before they are ready. If you leave the nappy on they will never learn.
Good luck. There will be accidents.
Unless they're ahowing intrest/ awareness don't bother. So many people rush it for some reason when the kid aint ready.
Doubt an app will help tbh.
i bought a course from big little feelings :)
And that is the weekly reminder not to have kids :p
Mate you don't need an app. Just every hour or two take them. We did this with our 18 month old. Always wanted to get off the toilet early so we used to read toilet themed books on there. Worked a charm
No app required, honestly just google this stuff.
They will get have to pee way quicker than poop which seems kind of scary to a little kid. Our boy, really quick to toilet train on number 1 but number 2 took a bit longer. It is not necessarily a fun time, especially if they are slow learners but there will be accidents.
Dont pressure yourself :-) if the kid goes to childcare they will figure it out themselves. We tried with ohrs and didn’t work and one day he woke up and said wants to go to toilet and that was it
Serious post.
Poo goes to pooland.
If you have real issues as your child gets older talk to a paediatric occupational therapist they have great techniques.
Make sure your child is showing signs of readiness.
While it would be great to have child out of nappies if they’re not near ready it will do more harm to them and stress to you to force it.
If they’re waking up with dry nappies, asking to go to toilet, saying their going wee or poo as they do it etc these are the signs ours have shown.
Routine, set times and so much praise you'll want to 🤮
In otherwords:
Giving them enough time on the potty is important too. They have to learn to relax.
Also parents should use themselves as an example.
Dont use tech or food as a reward. Just lots of well done, high tones etc
