Still a bit high but still a decent saving. I feel they must be trying to slowly push the normal price up. Hardly see singles for $2.80 these days either (I like to buy 6-8 single purples now and then for a bit of variety.

      • +2

The price went up on all CCEP products wholesale in the last few months.

      • +3

Normal price has gone up at supermarkets quite a bit. Used to be $13.50, now often $16+. Often was on special $6.87, now $9.60 seems to be the norm.

V has done the same thing - now $17 for 4x500ml and $12 for 4x250ml

        • +3

I dont see how this is sustainable $50 for 30pk Coke now with inflation under control my ass. They are literally 98% cans of water made for pennies on dollar.

People need to stop buying no matter the price, it is only fueling greed. I know costs have gone up but they are using that as an excuse on top, PepsiCo CEO was bragging about profits.

          • +1

@Kommodore: What do you expect me to drink instead? Actual water!?

            • @Jake D: especially now my local ALDI seems to only have the weird passionfruit and cola no sugar rip-offs of red bull.
im not sure what it is about it, but they got a realllyyy weird artifical after taste now.

I didnt mind the 'standard' flavour but looks like maybe theres a stock shortage on them again.

              • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Quite sure the Cola aldi one is based on the V Black hype, so they've made it taste more like V - the no sugar one is particularly grim

              • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Those Cola ones are disgusting, yes I know taste is subjective lol but eww.

I don't mind the others though. Fav is the green sugar free one.

          • +1

@Kommodore: It’s an absolute farce. I have stopped buying chocolate and soft drink altogether. I used to like these Monster Ultra before a run or when working outside all day, but I’ll happily pass at these prices.

For those with Costco membership, it's cheaper there.

    • They've recently added a $25 long distance fee on doordash that wasn't there a couple of weeks ago!

  • +2

the $8 4 packs last week at coles was better value. sad thats now 'half price'
    moving back to V personally

    • Moving back to V which is now $17 for a 4x500ml pk? Woolies has it at a "low price" of $10.50/4pk so don't expect promotions there either

      • $10.50 at woolies and coles. i know, wont expect cheaper but ill take a suntory owned brand over an american one now

        • Honestly if you're after avoiding energy drink companies it's often incredibly murky lol.

          • Suntory is/was a part of CCEP (contract ends 1/6/25) in terms of markets, which includes both V and Rockstar, but Rockstar is bottled under supervision of PepsiCo who bought it in 2020.
          • CCEP only has a minority stake in Monster, but in AU/NZ they distribute Monster.
          • Celsius is a separate company with a manufacturing, sales and distribution partnership with Suntory.
          • Ghost is an independent company who distribute through Red Bull.
          • Red Bull distributes through its own network
          • @pennypincher98: oh i agree its a total mess.
            can only do my best.
ill probably have a sneaky zero ultra every now and then anyway, they are refreshing

    Tere goes your kidney

    • why

  • +1

Been awhile? It was $48 a week ago🤣

  • +4

Yeah nah… It was $2/can a couple weeks back on regular half price at woolies

  • NQR small can Monster at $1 each

    • +2

small cans, whats the point right?

      • +1

Agree, they already end too soon

        • Can drink past BB or used by date still can be consumed by human being. Risk is low comparing with energy drink itself.

High caffeine contents is more risk, I reckon.

      • +1

These cans are still 355ml, I would find myself having them more if they weren't only available near me at service stations for like $5 lol

V does a limited range 6x330ml never on special, which leaves Celsius as my main go to if I'm wanting an inbetween size.

        • How is celcius? I usually like to try all the new energy drinks but haven’t seen a good price yet

          • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: NQR usually stock various energy drink with high caffeine contains at low price.

          • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Got them when they were $2 1/2 price at local IGA, they sometimes go $2.40 at Woolies. Haven't tried all the flavours, but the ones I have tried (Kiwi Strawberry and Cosmic Vibe) are nice.

Really was a good pep in the step too despite the smaller can, must be something else in there to attribute this to.

        • NQR has V stock at least at my local NQR store

  • Never had one of these before, why are they so raved about?

    • +3

try one next time , gotta be ice cold though. REFRESHING.

    • Yum yum. Lakers in 5

    • +3

They taste really nice, like lemonade but with a bit of a twist. Not overly sweet.

I would buy a lot more if they sold a non-caffeinated version. I limit myself to one at lunch as a treat.

      • +2

        one
        limit

how? is it possible to learn this power?

      • +1

I agree, used to chug one a day when I was younger, weaned myself off the caffeine and now am too sensitive for even more than a quarter of this stuff. It does taste great though. Would buy a non-caffeinated one in a snap.

        • +1

          chug

god i know right. i have never once not chugged a monster ultra white drink.

if i get in a serious car crash tell them to put a monster ultra white into the IV feed to wake me TF back up.

    • +4

They’re the perfect accompaniment to doing the lawns at 10AM on a Saturday morning

    • Sounds like someone hasn’t been punching holes in gyprock lately.

  • +7

4 pack for $8 at my local Woolies last night

  • +2

this would have been a deal if it was $47.60 maybe in todays market

  • Got this for $38.99 back in December

  • Picked up some Ultra Rose for $48 last week — Not interested in paying more than 2$ per can, personally
