Good for anyone going for a short trip and don't want the hassle of getting a physical sim. Works out to be only 16c/GB.

Title price should not include referral discount. Price changed to outright purchase amount. — Mod

Need to sign up using a referral code to get $5 off first purchase.

$10 USD - $5 referral discount = $5 USD ($8 AUD)

I processed my transaction in AUD with a no international transaction fee debit card (Up Bank) and was charged $8 AUD.

Found it easier to sign up and purchase directly via a referral link. The URL would be:

  • Nice, may look into it. Usually just get an ais Sim over there, not hard

Got free flexiroam with 28 degrees (latitude), 3GB, should be enough to start with (Thailand - AIS-T / NT Mobile, dtac,NT Mobile,Real).

  • I use Jetpac in Asia , I’ve got it set up as an eSIM on my iPhone so I can easily use my physical sim for receiving two factor if I have to via sms. And once it’s set up it’s hassle free I can turn it off when I’m back home . Love it

  • Anything for Vietnam?

    • Nomad Sim. I'm on holidays right now. Heaps of countries covered. eSIM. Easy peasy.

Nice relaxing holiday glued to the screen refreshing Ozbargain

  • Thanks OP, done. $8 is pretty reasonable for 50GB. eSim are super handy and hopefully someone got the referral.

    • I love how cheap Thai internet is and every time I go I usually get an esim around $13 for 50gig, this price is very competitive.

      • Yeah I can't remember but usually get AIS 30 days tourist Sim. Just checked, they are 1,199B (or 699B for 15 days) so this deal is better.

  • Does anyone know how these short lived deals work? I actually need twenty days. Is there any issue with buying two? Do they stack? Do they load as two separate eSIMs that I have to use in sequence?

For $8 either would be fine, so long as it will work.

The jetpac app accumulates them. I bought an extra one while in Asia and it sits in advance (status “upcoming”) until it’s needed and lasts a year from purchase . You only set up the one Jetpac esim which is linked to their app. No idea if the price stacks though.

  • Any deals for Japan and South Korea?

    • Nomad Sim. $20 or so. I'm using it now.

10 days isn't enough to VISIT Thailand. 😋🤤

    • 2 weeks min or just go more often.
Easy enough to top up or get another esim or use wi-fi

  • I’ve used gigago eSIM - 10 days unlimited for $12.90 USD. Worked really well on 5G with very fast speed

I used Klook's Thailand esim 10 days 50GB (but when activated sms says unlimited) for AU$11.09 https://www.klook.com/en-AU/activity/110438-thailand-esim-hi…

Not a bargain, looking on eSimDB, you can pay A$6 for the same thing with Airhub. This deal is 18th cheapest there.

    • +1

There's more to consider than just price particularly when it comes to esims. Airhub has some pretty poor reviews on TrustPilot and reddit. Take how popular Travelkon is on Ozbargin. They're not the cheapest even with their sales but a lot of us still buy from Travelkon because of their excellent customer service and reliability.

      • Agreed, Jetpac also have excellent customer service if you ever need it

    • +1

A$8 is cheap with referral, you worried about $2?

Guess this is Ozbargain, the tightest of the tight.

Thanks OP. Got one for upcoming trip in Thailand. Never used these before but assume it should be same as Flexiroam. Do we need to activate before we leave Australia to be safe?

    • Instructions in the email

      • I might have to reach out to them. I didn't get any email with instructions…Just advising what I i have purchased,

Hmm you should have got a few emails,
Jet packs on the way and here comes your esims.

Anyway Just get the app. I'm sure you can wait till you need it to activate it.

    • Yup best to set it up before you go so you don't have to connect to the airport wifi. It won't activate until you're in Thailand.

  • I heard the aim cards you get at 7/11 are really cheap, like 350thb?

    • Yeah probably at least, that's still $16.
Plenty of options but good to hit the ground running.

      • Yeah bit problem with this is only 10 data. I believe the 7/11 aim is 1 month

        • +1

True, easy and cheap enough to get something when you land.

Could still use this before or after (I got 3gb free with flexiroam so between those it should be fine).

  • Just in time . . Got one, thanks
