The email subject is "You'll wish you did this by Christmas…"

once changed to "Bank for christmas" I immediately receive the points
so assuming you can changed it back to "qantas points / redeem $10/2000 ER

If you got the points already you'd think so.. but it just says not to switch back during the promo period so if you wanted to play it safe wait till 23/4, only 2 weeks

    • I immediately received the points too but I switched back to "automatic savings" and it is showing $10 off my next shop. So I'll use that and should be sweet

    • +1

      I didn't get them immediately…
      Terms state 10 days

      • It immediate for me. Check the email that the promo was sent to if you have multiple rewards account. Make the changes through the app.

        • Still not… Can see the boosted offer in the app, made the change in the app.

My offer was for 500 points.

    • me too!

    • +3

Ha! Missus got the email to bank for Christmas, for no bonus points…

      • +1

Yep, got the email same subject as above but no mention of any points anywhere. Not even in the fine print…

Click through to the app, nothing there either, except the option to make the switch.

Think they've realised I've done this several times before….

    • Same here. Points collected immediately. So have now switched back.

  • Nothing here

  • Nothing received, shame.

  • Thanks OP

  • where to check fuel voucher expiry date on desktop website? I could not find it anymore.

    • +1

In everyday home page, Click Rewards on top bar, Choose Offers and specials, then click Fuel Discounts on the page, then you will see detail of Fuel voucher with expires date information

  • Were in bank for xmas method for years, switched back to $10 method just now, and nothing happens so far

  • I wonder how they targeted this…
I have a lot of accounts and got it on only one.

    • Why so many accounts..? 🤔

      • I’m guessing for the free 2000 pts that pop up now and then.

Received an email with the same subject line (You'll wish you did this by Christmas… 👀) but no offer 😔

  • +3

My version of the "You'll wish you did this by Christmas…" email doesn't offer any points at all. Instead it has the irresistible offer of "Get exclusive offers all year, just for being a Bank for Christmas member".

  • I can't understand what the benefit to Woolworths is doing this.

Unless the Qantas Points are costing them too much.

    • +1

They want you to spend your dollars at woolies for xmas

    • -1

They have to justify to the government that they are passing on the savings to you while price gouging you at the same time.

    • +2

When you have more dollars banked up you're more willing to buy things you wouldn't have normally when it unlocks.

    • +3

And defers the liability to use the rewards points immediately. They can afford to lose out on revenue from these savings in December when they make a shitload then

    • +2

The mind control when I had 40k everyday points I only shopped at WW until Coles offered 10k pts 4x$50 spend, I now have 100k flybuys points and stick with Coles.

I know I can cash out at once for both of them but the habit has already happened.

  • If I were them I'd give points for people to spend all their points now.

Lots of cheap Chinese goods going to flood the market. They might get left holding the bag.

  • +1

Got on 2 out of 4 accounts. $10 was instantly credited on both.

I have set a reminder to switch them back on 2/4.

    • +1

      Meant to type 24/4.

  • +1

Didn't get email but offer was in the app - changed preference and 2k points posted immediately.

  • Switch 2!

  • +1

Does anyone know what marketing setting you need to have on for this sort of email?

  • Got the same offer last year on two accounts, switched back after getting the points. Didn't get any emails or offer this time.

  • Checked multiple Rewards accounts for family.
Only 2 received offer. Both had email notification. Others may have been activated in previous years.
