  • This used to be the price of a decent phone.

    • Feel free to get some WWII era bakelite headphones for less if you fancy.

      • Think 5 years, not 1000.

        • What decent phone could you buy in 2020 for <$300?

I’ll tell ya, back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy devices and gadgets like you young folks do. Oh no, we had to make do with what we had, and what we had was the phonograph! Now, this wasn’t no ordinary record player, no sir. We could get one for 3 nickles and a dime. You'd drop that needle, and suddenly, Bing Crosby or Frank Sinatra would come wafting outta that horn like they were right there in the room. No need for paying an extra 3 nickles for the radium plated ones I'd say. Anyway, always make sure you tie and onion to your belt to keep in style.

It should be half of the RRP.

Cheaper on Amazon, but I assume they are imports? Will OW price match the Amazon ones tho? 🤔

Those are the first gen Pro's

I tried to get Google to price match, as I have store credit….Telstra is not on the list. Tried to explain that OW would price match it (as they are on the list) and was basically told to buy it from OW then. Great service Google.

Google price matching is pretty rubbish. They only offer to credit back afterwards as well and there's no guarantee really…so not much of an incentive to buy from them in those cases unless you have credit with them.

Google Store price matching is absolute trash. I tried to price match the Google Buds Pro 2 from OW at $299 and could only apply for it after I bought it from the Google Store and it had shipped. Once it shipped, the OW sale had finished. A bit of back and forth and was able to get an 'exemption'.

Still annoying because they were going to reject it since the they said that the $299 from OW was the same price that I had paid from the Google Store at $329. They assumed that the OW price was pre-GST and I had to explain to the customer service rep that prices in Australia include GST… Useless

  • Got JB-Hi-Fi to price match over live chat

    • Wonder if Good Guys will as well, same corporate parent as JB.

    • OW won't price match and the JB online rep I got wouldn't either and best price they offered was $357 haha…

      • I tried JB price match with Telstra. They wouldnt because its a membership site, but gave them to me for $298.
I used JB Gift cards… so cheaper than Telstra now.

  • I'm interested in these after enjoying my Pixel Buds Pro 1, but the price seems a little high to upgrade. I wonder if we would ever see it closer to $200

That's the RRP? Bloody hell. Still happy with my original Pixel Bud Pros. Are the "2" that much better?

  • Man, ordering this was the most frustrating experience. Why does Telstra require my Australian license, phone verification, etc, just to make an account? And then when ordering and specifying the delivery address, I could only submit an address their system recognizes, but of course it's crap and isn't quite right. Just let me enter my own manual address cause I know these automated ones don't work for it! 50/50 on whether my delivery actually arrives.

    • It's so annoying, I have Telstra mobile account but they want to check my Id in store before I can order online. Like WTF? 😒

  • Tried price match with JB and they said the best they can do is $302, but with the spend $300 save $30 coupon they sent out to Perks members it ends up $272, beating the Telstra deal.
