Description is just copy and paste from site

    • At least you didn't use chatgpt to churn out the same thing

  • so I signed up to my local library, now what? the link only takes me to library website but nothing more.

    • Looks like you have to go into your library and join there to get a borrower number.

      I haven't done this myself.

As already discussed in the previous related deal on free library resources.

Just because it's been discussed before doesn't mean my comment is any less valid.

        • The comment is invalid either way.

Well, unfortunately, you have to pay your Council rates anyway. So, I’ll say this a freebie!

I already hit "pay" so I'll say that new home entertainment system I just got is a freebie.

    • Correct.

  • does one have to prove physical address ?

It's been a while for me but I believe it depends if you want to be a library member (with a library card), or an "online only" member. For the library card you have to come into the library and bring an ID with your address (driver's license etc..) and then they give you the library card there, for online only they send a validation code to your mailing address and you have to action it within a month or you lose access.

      So yes in both cases.

My local library also have free toys and games you can rent as well.

  • Can i stop my netflix or prime subscription?

  • Similar for Perth?

    • It might not be allowed and will be removed when admins come online.

Free access to LinkedIn learning via Library sign up seems to be good value. Can also complete and add certificates to your profile.

I signed up couple years ago super excited for digital content but I was left wanting. selections are very limited. EG Stephen King one of the world's most popular and prolific writers has just two audiobooks

    • the trick is to sign up to a lot of libraries
