Ordered one for the kids playroom. Cheers op

    • That makes me wonder, how good would the TV be to display MS Paint.

    • For mounting into the floor right?

    • This has to be cap.

      I have a G1, I turned the advertising off.

Disable network access, use an external streaming box?

        • Odd, I see one maybe once every few months, like "Free month of Apple TV+" or something, nothing like what you're describing. Is it the grey text box at the bottom of the screen that you get? I don't even check notifications on my TV, what could my TV possibly be notifying me of that I'm interested in?

  • Serious question to ask, would this be worth the extra money over a 98" C855 Mini-LED? Given it's 2-3k cheaper (and much larger) which I could also afford

I've seen the C855 in person and boy it does look very good. I understand OLED has it's advantages but yeah.. any feedback on either or both TVs?

I am a big OLED fan but I think the majority of people would prefer the whopping size difference over the increased contrast ratio, before even considering the price difference

Honestly unless you're nitpicking blurays or remuxes in a dark room, the larger size and insane brightness levels might give you more of a wow factor compared to inky blacks (which you fail to notice as much in bright viewing)

If you looked at the C855 and liked what you saw then yep that massive size and brightness is going to be a much bigger wow and enjoyment factor.

If you're someone who notices picture quality, then no its not worth it since every time you see a dark scene play on the mini led you will be annoyed.

        • 100% agree on that last part, I don't think I would be able to make the switch after becoming so accustomed to OLED. The one Mini LED screen that blows me away is the one on the MacBook Pro, but even that suffers from some pretty gnarly blooming.

    83" OLED

normally these beats are suited for reading rooms which are well lit in morning, does this make OLED less appealing ?

  • 2.5k for monitor and 8k for a TV.

Cost of living doens't count in here. !

Don't forget 8.5%/5% cashback, enough for another TV/ Montior

Might get one when the price goes down to $1999.

With the 125% tariff, and the USA being the world's largest importer, these will flood the market outside the USA.

    • LG is South Korean ?
Manufacturing in Indonesia and Vietnam right ?

Why do you expect 125% tariffs to be relevant here ?

      • Manufacturing in Indonesia and Vietnam right ?

        and a lot in China…

        • Huh TIL,

Went and googled it and yea this is the case, I always thought they didn't manufacture in China

      What it's actually worth.

  • Product doesn't exist?

  • Must have been a one day deal because it's back to $9,999.
