it seems like such a good product. Just too expensive as a home user.

I'm thinking the same, looks very handy, I do want to have these in my kit but not worth it for occasional DIY unfortunately.

    • I bought a pair of trojan similar ones for about 10 or 15 bucks each on clearance, don't know if they still do em but it's worth checking.

They looked something like this but they were reversible in that you could use them as a support or flip part of it around and use it to clamp. It could be used as a extended straight support, or as a clamp, or as a support but flipped around so the bottom and top of the flap panels that support could be right up close together to use as the Stanley device would work

Google "trojan lift supports clamp" and the stuff coming up from temu is similar but not reversible, much cheaper thank Stanley stuff

Same price at Sydney tools, plus you get extra stuff via redemption.

You're not wrong there, especially if you spend an extra $50, then the free socket set is quite decent.

I am so happy that businesses such as totaltools and sydneytools are doing well. Need this competition to bunnings. My preference has always been to buy from them.

Yeah, it was a pity Masters failed (although that really was the fault of WW), it was good to have some actual competition for bunnings.

          • @A 1: I actually liked Masters a lot.😔

Much better deal, thanks for posting mate! Bought a couple extra items to get it above $300 to get the free socket set!

        Good stuff.

  • Can these be used for say lifting a fridge?

    • +1

They could handle the weight but you might need two pairs so you are lifting by the feet of the fridge, depending on the design of the fridge. These things will lift 150kg.
