Not sure how much it cleans, but it probably does help a bit to prevent things from sticking. At the very least, it smells nicer than not having it.

Only con I would mention is that in hot weather or hot rooms, these do melt and run down the porcelain.

Yep. Got a three packs of the lavender variety a year ago when they were available for $6.57 per 24 pack. Wish I’d ordered more.
Smell great. But as others have pointed out, one out of every half dozen or so get a bad contact and slide down the bowl and into a-bend oblivion, though for the price I couldn’t complain. Grabbed a pack of the marine this time…

I love them. Works great for me but as the guy above said sometimes it does melt and the whole thing just slips down

I've been using these for a while and tried a few of the scents.
They are normally quite fragrant when first applied, but their smell doesn't hang around after the first day.
I did notice that on some hot days they would start to melt and slowly make their way towards the toilet depths, but I started putting them higher up the bowl, closer to where the water comes out and I've noticed they haven't melted yet.
I do think they provide some cleaning benefit as I don't notice as many skids in the bowl.
I wish the refills would go on sale more often, as I have too many dispensers since they're always the ones discounted.
Had these for years, for the people saying it slides due to hot weather… More likely you need to attach them towards the top of the bowl on the more flat area.
But would definitely 100% recommend this product.
Also give you better accuracy of aim when standing.

This works really well with rimless toilets. It kind of sits on the shelf and does not slide off.
I place mine high up at front of toilet and have never had one slip - water hits them nicely. They do an ok job of cleaning but not stellar, however - there is a new variant out now from same mob at slightly higher price that absolutely cleans better (on sale at Woollies right now $4.15). I just stocked up.
Price matching woolworths I think? If only wanting one and at woolies would be better to buy there
