After EB Games failed to fulfill their eBay orders on this deal I went looking for a competitively priced PS5 disc console and found this - I think it's a pretty competitive price (it's cheaper than the posted EB games deal) and ordered one and it was shipped so thought I'd post it up here for others who missed out.

Edit: I didn't realise that these were reconditioned when I bought it - it's not clear from the website unless you drill into the sub-menus. I've updated the deal to make it clear for others. Given the upcoming price increase, I'll probably just keep mine.

        Wouldn't the JPY going up against AUD mean higher prices for Australians?
        Just like a weaker dollar is 'better' for exports, it's worse for imports.

    I reckon this is Not brand new (E.g. used/refurbished)

    From the linked product page, Refer to Condition, It say's Excellent and when you follow the links it says - Product is in like new condition, no scratches or dents on the device. 100% Functional and ready to go!

    Plenty of 400-450 (less than 3 months) slim model. Also the link shows og ps5 in the picture? If it's OG, then no deal at all

        Less usable storage, bulky size, can not transfer the disc drive to pro if you happen to decide upgrading later.

    I got one a few weeks ago off Marketplace for $450, with the receipt. Wouldn't pay this much for a used 'refurbished' one.

    This is Reconditioned compared to a brand new sealed one for a little more, I know what I would be buying..

      As I said, I didn't realise these were reconditioned when I posted the deal - those details were hidden in sub-menus. New prices jumped up to $800 for a PS5 disc version yesterday so there's a large gap now.

    This is about the most the console should have been new at this point. 5+ years in, and somehow we've gone UP in price (again). Ridiculous. The digital one in particular has in total gone 25% over launch price now, 5+ years along, and it's 125% of the launch price. Ridiculous [2]

      US is everyone's biggest market. They aren't going to jack up prices solely in their most important market. It'll be smaller increases spread throughout the world. Similar with LA fires, its spread to home insurance policies throughout the world
