  • 65 for 299 or 55 for 149? which is better

      One thing from my experience when you buy a TV always buy a TV one size up from what you have decided. Trust me you always have that buyers regret unless you are really short for space and layout. Also the 55 inch is 10 inches smaller and it is not a smart TV. So if you want to have smart tv then 65 is a clear winner, if space is an issue then 55 with workarounds. If I have the space then 65 any given day.

    • the 65 is smart tv, the 55 is non smart tv, so they are essentially different.
      I watched streaming service so I need the smart tv, but 65 is too big for me, 55 would be great but non smart is big no no.

      I guess it depends on what you need? If you don't care about the feature, size would be the next consideration.

        • My TV is getting switched off automatically and randomly. Also surround sound option is disabled in my TV when I connected my soundbar.

            @agrwlvipul: I have no issues with the brightness and contrast. A more discerning eye may.

            I’m not an expert on these things. To me it is more than I could hope for a mere $299.

            I did notice that the colour seems more vibrant (might be a contrast issue for some), however that just might come from the tv being so much bigger than my previous one.

              • @ARD: Surround mode is available for me. I’m not using a sound bar.
                Enabling surround mode improved the sound anyway though.

        I got there before 3pm but the place they indicated was just a loading dock. No office.

        Some asian lady told me Soniq was closed down.

      I went to Regents Park warehouse in the morning, tried to enter via the indicated location off Commercial Dr, as in the map attached to the pick up email.

      Gates were closed and ziptied.

      Security guards said Soniq had leasing arrangements they needed to sort out.

      This was before they sent me the email about 'transport delays'.

    Are you able to give any insights into warranty response times?

    I received my pickup email for the 50" in QLD on Friday the 2/5 and picked it up from the warehouse on the same day. Only problem is that the screen was completely washed out on initial turn on, so bright you can barely sit in front of it and contrast so washed out it's almost impossible to navigate menus let alone see a meaningful picture. I was able to give it factory reset but it appears to have an electrical fault over driving the brightness as all display settings are middle by default. I emailed warranty@soniq.com on Tuesday 6/5 after the long weekend in QLD but to date haven't heard anything back.

    Would love to have some contact after paying for the TV on the 18th April and as of the 8th May haven't been able to use it or have any feedback on when/how to get it replaced. For your reference it's order no: 4401.

      Binge app isn’t on our 65”. The tv has a built in chromecast which is good enough.
      You might have to settle for the same for Kayo.
