No. You can get 10 of Bauhn & likely the batt will last longer, insted of slaving to your iphone & all gadgets every day to recharge. My Amazfit band 7 was $45 (of $120ish) & batt lastst >2wk ;) I will never let Apple exploit me. I prefer to be smart* vs iOverpay

Yes, any watch: Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Series 4 or later has fall detection. However, if they are far away from their iPhone and it's not a cellular model it's not very useful.

Apple wouldn't price match Costco when I tried late last year. The young guy agreed at first, then made up some story that he had to check with his boss, came back and said they wouldn't price match as they couldn't confirm Costco was genuine Australian stock.
Costco does trade in now, watch included. You can give that a go.
